Salad Days

Amidst the cool breeze of the dawn, the hope is on aborning. For every tear down the face of the sky, There is a rainbow smiling. For every sinister's shadow, the silent sentinel is on watch. Ready to spoil the eggs the evil is about to hatch. Hope, now that you're on your salad days. Beware of the temptation the apple brings. For biting it entails much of the worldy ways Directing you somewhere destruction clings. Your salad days are but ephemeral Like the sun is sure to set To the horizon ruled by the west I bet; Like the bamboo trees ready to bow in chorale. The sun is still high for you to walk a mile With your faith you can always smile; The sun is still high for you to walk a mile With your hope, reaching your dreams is but a while.
