Everything Will Be Alright

Everything will be alright,
A sentence I didn't hear very often
When you hear it, what does it make you feel?

Is it a calmness that fulfills you?
I want to know what that feels like
I once had these words whispered to me
But all I felt was vulnerability

For the magnitude these words hold,
They are only realized by self console
Repeatedly saddened through the eyes of broken souls,
My obsessive search for healing is apparent once more

My lips know only how to speak of what you feel
But it is in you that you'll find the key
For cruelty is masked and trapped in the dark,
Their only comfort is to tear you apart

Lost within a maze of self hate, as a victim you can now relate
It is in your undeserved pain that compassion was born, you are the change
Guide the lost patiently, be the understanding they hunger for

Beauty so pure, convert this into blessing
Preach the misunderstanding that leads us to depression

South West Africa - a Poets Ache

South West Africa

What's worse than waking up to a sad reality is never waking up at all, waking to my sad reality leaves me wanting to sleep forever more.
At the depths of my heart I dug for the courage in order to say goodbye, as you chose cold as ice, a numbing too nice, not even a decade of love could suffice,
So as I move on, dreaming of what could have been, loneliness cannot find me as our son gives me the courage I need, as sad as it may be to say goodbye one last time, I beg you to release us from a country where we can no longer strive, my homeland left it's footprints deep and holds a peace deserving of my child. Where the dunes meet the ocean and the golden sands go far and wide, find it within yourself to let us go and build a life. I am shackled to your tiresome struggle, one that leads you a stray, I am torn in two although my heart remains with you, give your son the life you were deprived of and numb your wounds as you allow him the opportunity to bloom.

Puppy Love Vs True Love

************ Puppy love Vs True Love ************

What an interesting journey it is
Thinking you know what love means
Feelings not familiar create desire deep within
Curiosity leads you naively to wear your heart on your sleeve
Life’s lessons whispered “Puppy Love” her echoes still dwell within
For all who are wise feel compelled to share their love tales “saying”
What you experiencing are mere waves in a vast ocean

Humbled by your embrace my true love
You my moon and I your sun
Our currents move in harmonic motion
                           Two souls intertwined reliving chemistry
Reminiscing times far older than our hosts at this time
Perfect balance in togetherness before, beyond in all eternity

                     **************************************

Don'T Need a King To Win

How am i ever to win, you are a critic
With just a blink of an eye,  im left watching my life pass me by
Without any warning as to why
You again disapprove no matter how hard i try,
With a smirk u just wink your other eye, an eye for an eye,
You have awoken my evil eye but why,
It is you that's so sly, you only lie causing me to cry,
You wonder why i whine so i drink too much wine and also bought a pie,
You bviously cringed as you watched me and said all i do is binge so for that,
I cut a fringe, just like a big syringe, I saw the prick u were within,
So i ditched u like a fling cause i don't need a king to win

Hard Work Vs Greed

She is young, She is eager, She is the stepping stones to your success ...

With perseverance and continuous applications,
She finally gets the call, She has the job,
She is a cleaner,
She is the helper, But

She cleans with passion,
A smile on her face and a song in her heart,

At your call, She is there,
You can see the appreciation on her face,
the twinkle of hope in her eye,

She know's she is capable of so much more,
While you come to the realization that you have scored,

Jumping at the opportunity, You give her the one thing she has been yearning for,

Her prayers for experience have been answered,
Her dedication, her motivation and her Soul is put into your Empire,

Your decision was made,
Very chuffed with yourself,
You offered minimum wage,

You should be ashamed

Bang Bang

bang bang

Bang bang, go the shots at night.
another person has lost his life.
Morning has come and night has passed,
I can only hope nothing will cross my path.

For the air I breathe I am thankful for
and hope God will spare me some more.
I stand in the morning sunshine and believe..
believe that it is time...
to start making use of what is mine.
It is given to us all; it is priceless
and should be appreciated by all.
If one takes time to appreciate more
the thought of wrongdoing will exist no more.

The earth is the fairest I know.
It has reached the sun in order for me to glow.
the day goes on and turns closer to night.
The other end of the world needs its time for light.
The stars and moon have blessed me with sight,
on this scary planet that's so dark at night.

Bang bang go the shots,
a timely reminder the doors to be locked.
Stranger lurks at night.
What a terrible time.
Everyone just fights.
The dogs bark wildly as they protect their grounds.
The sounds in the silence they make me frown.
It is a shame.
I have forgotten what peace means.
It is a shame.
Humans can be so mean.

Hard To Be a Man In a Woman's World

We live in a world that’s “all about woman”, what we have overcome,
Achieved and still strive for

Poetry reminds us to stay humble during a time we so often abuse the simple phrase “girl power” to use as a tool

“Girl Power” a phrase used to encourage our sister’s, to stand up for our sisters or to simply excite our sisters before an evening out. A phrase generally used in a group; therefore we should be careful with these powerful words and the damage they cause, not only for our opposites but for us

We once yearned for the opportunity only to speak and now that we have that right, we use it to break our men down

We fought in togetherness to get where we are and now that we there, we bully our way to get further

The magnitude this simple phrase holds was meant for every woman and yet we using it against our sisters, simply because they are not part of

We have been given the opportunity to truly show our worth in all aspects

A 21st century woman knows she is strong but this means nothing if she doesn’t hold the hand of the weak

A 21st century woman knows that she will succeed but this means nothing if she walks over others to get there

A 21st century woman knows she can be happy but not at the expense of others

A 21st century woman knows when to take a step back and allow her man to prove his greatness, for there is a greatness in men which many of them have forgotten

A true gentleman who knows he is worthy of won’t settle for anything less than a true proud 21st century woman

Let us all go from “You make me a sandwich” to making sandwiches together

Your Contentment, My Console

Let me ease my bottled pains
By igniting the beauty under your facade,
For i have deprived myself of that
But live to feel it through you.

Set Yourself Free

Don't listen to your mind, it has been influenced by society,
Listen to your heart, it is the door to your soul

Imagine what it would be like to be a bird and soar across the sky, away from everything,  no boundaries or fear along your path. No one can chain me down if i don't let them.

Most of us so conveniently blame our situations on others, unable to see the beauty within, our freedom to choose can indeed be a difficult one
