Be Loved

Loving them, despite the lies, despite the tears;
In spite of horrors, nightmares, fears.
We sing and laugh during our beginnings
Then fire the daff who helped our winnings.

Lay in wait, we cry, we take
Till we just can’t take no more.
They spin unholy tales and name the love they make
In the belly of their contaminated whore.

Survival, dear, who hears our cries, our lonely sighs?
The nights are full of longing.
Miss the good times, miss the bad,
Tearful slimes, make up songs. Sleep.
Get laid.

Miss the whore, we miss the madness.
Somehow we find time to clean the blade,
The weapon used to rid the badness;
The bloody, killing knife we keep,
We made.

Worlds Away

I am
Venus
You are
Mars

Worlds
Between us
Planets
Stars

Want me
Love me
Valley
Hill

Yes I
Love you
Want you
Still

Ignorance

Me, I'm oblivious until I've been there.
Experience, always my greatest teacher.
You, if not a patience-endowed person
May think, "Impossible to reach her!"

Sassafras

I had a little pup,
Her name was Sassafras.

I'd command, "Girl, sit up,"
She'd lie down in the grass.

I Waited Until Today

I fitfully half-slept in our half empty bed,
Reaching for my lover,
Assuming you were dead.

Sweet word touched not my longing.
Passion's urge over
N'er rang my yearning phone.

I died a little bit more each lonely day,
Praying if lost
You would perhaps somehow find your way ...

Then, happening stumbled to my very door,
And such the cost
When I saw you've been with her, your whore.

I Can Hear Him Coming

I sense the air sizzle
As it begins to boil
Brimstone and lava
Scorch sand and soil
The animals flee
To escape the unknown
The ground opens wide
To release all he’s sewn.
Not only do I Hear him,
I can feel him too
No one escapes his coming
He’s seeking me and you!

Flame Eternal

The burn is hot in
This eternal flame.
It singes,
My lot
And bound in his name.

Let Me Sleep On It

Mania dictates my natural response.
Your answers throw stones in my pond.
The ripple effect goes on forever.
Never will I stop loving you ...

Never.

Sleep?
Okay...
What-
ever ...

Never

Between Time

Caught in the time between eternity
and non existent.
I live in imagination's tender grasp.
An illegal immigrant.
I don't belong here in this bliss.
I don't deserve a feeling like this.
Impulsively I glance down . . .
The fire
Is real.

Short Years Long

You love me.
You hate me.
I do you
Quite the same.

You drive me
Half crazy.
I drive you
Right insane.

I want you.
You want me.
We meet again
Half the way;

I adore the hate
We share
And our love
Just makes my day.
