Oh my today is the day
Our little D graduates today
You are not only oh so smart
You are the one with the biggest heart
As you walk across that big stage
You are about to turn a very big page
13 years just flashes right by
As it's time for this chapter to say goodbye
Even though you are about to go
There is one thing for sure that you need to know
The love a Dad has for his daughter is beyond the stars
I am so blessed God choose you to be who you are
Just remember this is not the end
It is where your life journey is about to begin
I could not be any prouder of you
As you head off to college at LMU

A friend is someone you can always call
A true friend is there before you fall
A friend shows up for the celebrations
A true friend is there through the tribulations
A friend is a person who you have come to know
A true friend is there when the times are low
A friend is the one you meet at the bar
A true friend is there for a ride in their car
A friend is the one who calls to say hi and hello
A true friend is there saying hey lets go
A friend sends a text to say lets grab a bite
A true friend is there making sure you're alright
A friend is with you during that winning season
A true friend is there when there is no reason

Just watched the rose Bowl oh what a game
Without the SC Trojans it just wouldn't be the same
Back and forth the offensive went
Both defenses totally spent
Looked like SC was going to have a rout
Then came Penn saying ,'what you talking about?'
Can't believe the game I just saw
Back and forth scores like a see-saw
Amazing to watch Trojans number fourteen
Oh what a game though played by both teams
If you changed the channel before it was over
You missed a freshmen QB with unreal composure
At the end the Penn State Nifty Lions certainly stood tall
But it was the USC trojans who ultimately took it all

Well Raider fans our season was going great
Winning many games in the 4th quarter late
We were ready for a playoff run to go really far
We had the best QB in the league our man Derek Carr
Next thing you know our guy takes a fall
All of a sudden Mc Gloin has the ball
With one play we knew our hopes were in despair
While #4 sits at home with his leg in the air
So now its up to our coach pirate captain jack
To get us in the game with a passing attack
In comes third string Quarterback Conner
It looks like our season is now just a gonner
Hard to believe we fell so fast
We were the team to beat before that cast
My fellow Raider Nation we sit crying in our beer
Already thinking .................just wait til next year!!

When I awake the first thing I say
Thanks Oh Lord for this blessed day
Today is a gift that is for sure
One to enjoy and not just endure
Be sure you embrace what life has to give
For it is your choice in the one that you live
Make yourself the person you want to be
Not the one in the mirror you don't wish to see
For each day starts out one and the same
But it's how we live it that scores the game
The only way to know if you gave it your all
Is to make sure you had a chance to stumble and fall
Tonight when you reflect back on how the day went
Be thankful of the gift and how it was spent

It's time we say goodbye to this past year
As we look forward to tomorrow one thing is clear
We can write our own story of what lies ahead
Or we can sleep it away lying in bed
When we decide on some self correction
Let's make sure it's in the right direction
Decisions decisions oh what to do
Many with a resolution to lose a pound or two
So get up and go for that run or walk
Or will you be the one who is just all talk
A new year always brings a nice clean slate
Just be careful of what you put on your proverbial plate
Always make time for family and friends
Cause only God knows when our time here ends
Tonight is the night for this year to depart
Tomorrow is the day for a new year to start

I love the days just going for a run
Picturing the start line and hearing that gun
The best day to go is a little drizzle of rain
Your mind just wanders forgetting the pain
It's great to be out and see the dogs on a walk
You say good morning but no time to talk
Your steps dodge puddles as you go along
Not even thinking how far that you've gone
Here comes a runner going so fast
With a quick head bob they smile and pass
That's a runners language saying enjoy your run
Then the mist disappears and out comes the sun
A rainbow appears and lights up the sky
It's like seasons changing as each mile goes by
So get out and run even just a mile or two
Your body will thank you and your mind will too

I was born this day in 1965
It's now 2017 and I am happy to be alive
I am so blessed with such great family and friends
The love you all show me is hard to comprehend
As I reflect back on this past year
I am reminded how precious our time is here
So have no regrets as you look to the past
And live each day as if it's your last
So thanks for all the well wishes and birthday cheers
Now its time to celebrate and drink a few beers

As I sit and reflect on this past year
One thing is certain and perfectly clear
Friends and Family is what really matters
All the rest of life is merely chatter
I am thankful for the people who always stand by my side
And for those that don’t Lord knows I have tried
Life moves so fast that we often forget
To love those closest and live with no regret
As we run around this season planning parties to host
Don’t forget about the ones who are in need of the most
Now it’s time to celebrate with some Christmas cheer

People are shopping and spending away
Rushing around buying roses and candy
Picking out cards where ever they are handy
Everyone posting pics of their date
Trying to find that one which is great

All my attention turned to the one with me
