New Years Eve

It's time we say goodbye to this past year As we look forward to tomorrow one thing is clear We can write our own story of what lies ahead Or we can sleep it away lying in bed When we decide on some self correction Let's make sure it's in the right direction Decisions decisions oh what to do Many with a resolution to lose a pound or two So get up and go for that run or walk Or will you be the one who is just all talk A new year always brings a nice clean slate Just be careful of what you put on your proverbial plate Always make time for family and friends Cause only God knows when our time here ends Tonight is the night for this year to depart Tomorrow is the day for a new year to start December 31, 2016
