Another Day

Today is another day
Yesterday in the past adrift
Tomorrow the future play
Today is a sparkling gift

Another day here we go
It's a new opportunity
Another day of worthy bestow
With hope and possibility

To ourselves, honesty and trueness
In the blink of an eye, another day at bay
Whence comes another battle for life's fullness
Tomorrow is more than just another day, hooray

Every day is a playhouse show
Another day to be bold and daring
What's done is done, let it go
Today will never come again caring

Another day to explore
I'm thankful for...!!

Free Mind

The range
Of what we think
And do is
Limited by what
We fail to notice
And because we fail
To notice
There is little
We can do to change
Until we notice
How failing to notice
Shapes our thoughts and deeds

Beauty of This World

Have you had a falling leaf
Fall delicately at your feet
Conveyed by an adoring breeze
And gentle wind
Just for you to meet
Did you give it a chance to say
Good morning friend
Or kick it to the side

You see it's up to us
To find these things
As we're traveling down life's road
Because God sends these gifts
To cross our paths
And relieve our heavy load
Thank you Lord for this day
And for the Beauty Of This World

Football Sunday

Football here; Sunday drumm'ng 'n forthcom'ng
Woe' the snap, the fans are humm'ng
Bluff to the right, tail off, fade back
Excitement in frenzy air - yak-i-tee-yak!
Uh-uh, side step - whack, smack, sack!

Wit roars 'n rah-rah sounds
Bravo fans yell'ng 'n scream'ng like wolfhounds
Da' ground rumbl'ng, wit' brave cavaliers
With screech'ng hip-hip cheers in all nearby ears
Missed field goal attempt...gone, it veers!

Fall downs like missiles on the grid-iron bounds
Among crash'ng ka bam ka boom sounds!
In the grass 'n field you see: helmets on head, muscle forearms
Pat on back, growl'ng, defiant glares, end-zone dance charms
The tough, proud, brave competitors wit' crossed arms

Yes, this is football 'n how it's played
Whence the ball to throw, hustle past the goal
In a battalion, forth they go in da' battlefield
Us got protection. Us got a receiver - open downfield
Hail Mary! Here we go, out on our shield

New Day

Every breath of life, each new day
From sunrise-to-sunset, ascends with a light ray
As sunset settles below the horizon astray

Then evening comes, sparkles dance in the moonlight
Hush hours make us whole, afresh with delight
In the darkness, alive once more tonight

The moon fade away
Blurring into dim, another sparkle display
For a fresh out of the box new day

In each new day, trust, rises with shine faithfully
Sparkles all that is, smiling gracefully
And nature rises, spreading opulently 'n majestically

Day and night - radiant shines with all that power
Inside its own hiding shadows, in this glorious hour
That fills the soul with heavenly power

Fountain of Youth

There are people who stay young plus
Could be a secret they keep from the rest of us
Drinking from fountains of youth, thus
Perhaps it's a way of looking at things
Or a manner of what thinking brings
The fountain of eternal youth
Searching for the sip of magic water in truth

Butterfly

Butterfly

{Sestet}
Sep 11, 2017• By daniel miltz •

A splendid butterfly, floated out there
I stood there frozen, watching, winging flight
Gazing its beauty, then onto the air
Its rippled wings, shivered ever so bright
I couldn't allow it, be out of my stare
While looking at such beautiful invite

February Snow

Whiteout in my gape
Floating open space in forest glades
The shadow is cast shape
Catch'ng images of silver shades
Facing the brouhaha as snow cas·cades

From the lots of God's cast
In the·at·rics with clime win·try
Inside tempo garden of blizz blast
Sound of silence in graupel glows with glee
As it does now to me

Summer Sleep

Search'ng dandelions yearns int'rmittently
Hoping with sudden startled jealousy
And snoozing a loudly in ecstacy
Whilst summer sleeps quietly into shine
And morning sings with symphonic splendor
The sunshine closes into purple rays
Reflections dancing across still water

New Year's Eve

Another fresh new year is near...
Watching tick-tock 'round the clock
One more year coming to an end here
Tick-tock 'round the clock rock
A year of fun! It’s gone! It’s in the rear!
Fill it with cheer sock
To have another joyous new year

Tis' night awe-inspiring
The last day of year
Wishing for the season to bring
A year and a time to cheer
Rushing, to the fore, onward swing
Wait'ng for another bright moon to appear
To welcome in a new year ring-a-ding
