I Want To Be a Vegan

I want to be a vegan
I want to give up meat
I want hemp DM's to wear upon my feet
No more burgers, sausages and no more lamb kebab
No more chicken drumsticks gotta fight the flab
Mushroom for me now, mushroom instead of steak
Instead of meat pie I'm gonna have a cake
A vegan cake mind, without milk or eggs
I won't be buying my cake from Cooplands or Gregg's
I think I might still do a little bit of fish
But I'll avoid putting offal on my dish

I want to be a vegan
I want to give up meat
I want to revolutionise the food that I eat
Fruit and veg is better for you than eating a cow
Sausage made from Quorn is healthier than a sow
let the little lamb live a much fuller life
Instead of carving it up young with a carving knife
I feel for the bird, I feel for the chicken
The way it's kept in cages, leaves me quite sicken
You get all the good stuff from nuts, berries and different types of seeds
You can even find it in flowers, nettles and other random weeds
I want to be a vegan I want to give up meat
Stop the polluting cattle grazing and grow more wheat!

I Kneel In Solidarity

I kneel with all right across the globe, I kneel in solidarity

i stand with all the kneelers and I do it with some clarity

As a national flag is just coloured cloth designed to divide and rule

Indoctrination starts when you're young, vulnerable and still at school

This continues into the workplace and at sporting events too

Well I'll kneel for freedom where the flag once flew

Freedom of speech is what it's all about

So I'll stand with all the kneelers to give freedom a shout

As the colours of this flag are just a sign of imperialism

The mark of an invader, the mark of materialism

A fake patriotism that's forced upon you

Well I'll kneel for freedom where the flag once flew

To be persecuted for not standing to attention

Is for the whole world to see and is up for contention

As signs of fascism and hate are all around for us to see

So freedom of speech is what we must guarantee

Well I refuse to stand for the flag that is red white and blue

But I will kneel for freedom where the flag once flew

Hull, City of Culture 2017

Hull is the great and unique city where I was born
Sitting on the Humber estuary...proud and all alone
Known for keeping Charles I and his army out through courage and bravery
Also the birthplace of William Wilberforce who helped abolish slavery
The most bombed city outside of London during the 2nd World War
This made a strong community stronger even more
With a long and colourful history in shipbuilding, fishing and trading
The old image of Hull is still there ...but it's fading
The docks have been redesigned as shopping centre's or parks
It has an amazing aquarium that's got jellyfish, stingrays and sharks
The music and arts scene in Hull holds its own against the rest
The 2 mile bridge that spans the river is rated amongst the best
There's many green spaces to chill or restaurants to drink and dine in
It's now not unusual for Hull City or FC to score or even get a win
Hull has been rewarded with the City of Culture 2017
The redevelopment of this great city is very welcome but totally unforeseen

Seaside Dream

The seaside...now there is a place I like to be,
To get away from the city the neighbours and some family,
To lay on the beach without a care at all,
Watching people swimming, sunbathing or just playing with a ball,
At the seaside you can eat fish and chips,
Or you can simply gaze at the distant ships,
Listening to the rocks crackle in the ebb and flow,
Of the blue crisp ocean going to and fro,
The cool sea breeze and Cornish ice cream,
Will always be with me in a seaside dream,
Yeah I really love to be by the coast,
And I hate going home the most,
So one day I will make the move and live by the sea,
Until I get old and life’s had enough of me.

I Owned a Dog

I owned a dog, for eleven wonderful years,

I got him as a wee puppy,

He had brown velvet ears,

I really do miss him…oh so much,

He was a pedigree boxer…just not very butch,

I fed him every day and I'd walk him to the park,

And I would do anything, anything just to hear one more bark,

I loved throwing sticks and balls for him to go and get,

He made the world’s problems so easy to forget,

He loved coming for a cuddle by putting his head between my knees,

He loved causing trouble by digging up my neighbours trees

Our bond was special and tight…our bond was true,

We’d keep each other company all day through,

I really really want him back by my side,

As he was my best friend, and that can’t be denied,

I had him since a puppy, where he sat on my knee,

But after eleven years together…he owned me!

Cats

Cat's are not my favourite animal for reasons I shall tell

I don't like how they look or how they actually smell

And they kill all the beautiful birds that I love to watch fly by

They defecate in my herb garden that just makes everything die

Then they bring them dead birds into the house as a loving gift

And they don't care if it's a Pidgeon, Blackbird, Robin or a swift

Evil little buggers!

They cost a fortune in tinned and packet food

They rub their bottom in your face which I think is rather rude

And sticking their claws in your legs puffing you up like a cushion

And the sudden pain makes you kick out like a dancing Russian

Yeah, Cat's are not my favourite animal for many a reason

They're so selfish and unloyal they should be tried for treason!

Jeremy Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn, with his guilt free smile, conscience clear eyes, he’s definitely the one for me,
JC, the current democratically elected leader of the Labour Party,
I have absolutely no choice but to vote this great man,
As I truly believe he can save us in this very troubled land,
A change is needed from the current status quo,
As the Blairites and the Tories are ruthless and above law,
And without any change it all just stays the same,
No money or care for the old, the poor, the ill, or the lame,
Now all you good people get behind him as he needs you,
Because the right side of Labour are actually Tory blue,
Now’s the chance to really get the party clean,
Now’s the time to stop the evil and abhorrent war machine,
A great chance to start looking after our own,
And a great opportunity to stop the random killing drone,
They say he’s not a leader and totally unelectable, how wrong can anyone actually be,
He’s anti war anti fracking and pro renewable energy,
He’s the most electable man I’ve ever seen in my entire voting life,
And I’m right behind him…but without the backstabbing knife,
The others have all shown their true colours by supporting war,
Well I’m with Jeremy on this…and want war no more,
Jeremy Corbyn, he’s the one for me,
JC, Leader of the Labour Party

The World Is Run By Tyrants

The world is run by tyrants who don't really care
Like the Cameron's the Clinton's the Bush's and especially Tory Blair
These warmongers ruin lives and destroy communities
And they all should spend life in prison doing toilet duties

People are coming together realising where it went wrong
United in solidarity is what'll make the people strong
We need to keep up the momentum and push for fairer times
And stop the evil Tories committing heinous crimes

Because under the current Tory rule it's caused a lot of pain
Theresa May and Hammond I look down on in distain
Giving tax breaks and subsidies to their Etonian chums
While offering the poor and vulnerable only loose change and crumbs

So why do we accept homelessness and foodbanks today
While the rich quaff shampers on luxury yacht's far away
Because under the current system it only benefits a few
So people need to suffer and that includes me and you

The world is run by tyrants who don't really care
Like the Cameron's the Clinton's the Bush's and especially Tory Blair
These warmongers ruin lives and destroy communities
And they all should spend life in prison doing toilet duties

Xenophobic Ignorance

"Send them all home" that's what they say!
"Send them back to where they came from"
"Send them back to their crap life it has nothing to do with me"
"We don't want them here"
They're just a strain, an added weight, a burden on society"
"We have no room for them here, they bring nothing but 6 kids, none of them speak English"
"I didn't ask them to come, they take our houses take our jobs...Making my life more miserable....than it already is"

They read the daily mail who just confirm their ignorant beliefs
"Blame the Immigrants" is the headline of the rag
Blame them for your crap life

"Blame the Immigrants"
"Blame the immigrants"

Now I've listened to peoples worries, I've heard what they have to say
My answer to their problem is, please wake up today!
Start channelling the hate you have for immigrants and send it to its rightful place
You hating immigrants and not the state is nothing short of a disgrace
Corrupt warmongering governments steal your money and waste it on illegal and immoral wars
And you cry and complain when their victims land on your shores
The West attack and destroy ancient cities in search of oil and gold
Only happy when they have it all and the banks are Dollar controlled
People are escaping persecution, escaping tyranny and death
And you blame the innocents, you hate their every breath

Please start hating bankers, moneymen and people who profit from killing
These are the ones you need to blame, the ones that are making a shilling
They're the one's ruining your life...they're the one's making it worse
Don't listen to UKip...don't listen to Britain first
It's not the fault of the innocents for them to become immigrants
It's their governments, our media, it's the status quo...thats the cause, and the cause of xenophobic ignorance

Time Is Running Out For President Trump

Trump is the power
The voice of a nation
A moneyman, no morals or ethic code
A narcissist born for a life in capitalization
A nuclear bomb Desperate to explode

Trump's time in office has been a terrible show,
His speeches have little words and little meaning
As a president he's been aggressive and poor,
He's shown which way his beliefs are leaning

Trump wont denounce the Charlottesville haters,
He refuses to denounce the KKK
He's now become a right wing dictator
His own men don't agree with what he has to say

Trump is losing support all the time,
His right wing rhetoric is falling on deaf ears
The whole world saw what happened was a crime,
He's taking the USA back to the segregated years

Time's running out for president Trump,
Impeachment is long overdue
Time's running out for president Trump,
Impeachment is the right thing to do
