Deep Fried Greed

Are we dying to get a taste of the American Dream that we've got fat and glutinous, deep fried in greed.
Are we dying to feast on a God given intervention, with gnarled hands waiting to connect with the customer service extension.

Are we all so obsessed with consuming the world, that we've forgot what it's like on the outside of a store.
Waiting to receive a gadget or the next best thing, Christmas came twice and we didn't have to wait through Halloween.

Don'T Cheat

Michael had a problem, he watched a lot of porn.
So he decided to be spontaneous and buy himself a
"More," said Michael as the prostitute made him lunch
"Next time you shouldn't shave because I like to carpet,"
Bunching up her panties and throwing them away.
Michael cheated on his wife and kids that's not ok.

Different Perspective

Hair is slick and greasy, haven't showered in three days
Eyes stare into the sunset wandering in a fabricated haze
The only thing you have control of, is the steering wheel
Grasp the remainder of it hard, and forget what it's like to feel

Turn on the ac, as sweat drips down your brow
The baby starts to scream, starting the headache now
Wonder were it all went wrong, when you've been at the wheel
Blame the direction on someone else, when you decided to steer

I'm peering through your window, on the outside looking in
I feel like I know you, but I'm a stranger then again
Too close to your reality, picture lost inside a frame
Stepping into your world, looking in through it's pane

Numbness has fallen over you, like heavy rain on the road
Your vessel lost traction, as you let life take control
There was a time when happiness, dried up these simple things
Guardian angel tries to catch up, not so fast on broken wings

Your smile shone through the fog, lit up the dim of night
Your presence on this journey, ended someone's plight
Those days have passed you by so quick, the memories you thought you'd never miss
In your young, dumb stupor you took it all for granted

I'm peering through your window, on the outside looking in
I feel like I know you, but I'm a stranger then again
Too close to your reality, picture lost inside a frame
Stepping into your world, looking in through it's pane

Hair is slick and greasy, haven't showered in three damn days
Tried to turn this all around, but in the right lane you stayed
Same old song and dance, listen to it on repeat
To the people looking in your window, who are you trying to deceive?

Work Poem

Seamlessly integrated, simplified installation, reduced design gives complexity facilitation.
Microinverters are paving a way into the future, by innovating solutions that make your solar system operate smoother.
Each inverter runs independently from the next giving your energy conversion a streamlined affect, from dusk till dawn your system will produce the most because you chose the best electric current converting host.

Kaleidoscope of Madness

A kaleidoscope of madness
Keeps spinning in my mind
The good, the bad, the in between
Forever inter-twined

Lost inside my decisions
Where did I let it go wrong
I find myself spinning
But find clarity in my song

I get high to take away the pain
And forget how I got here
I get drunk to stop the tremors
And dull all that I fear

Numbness is a virtue
That's what I believe
Taking steps away from God
And closer to what I can drink

Walking on a tight rope
Above a crowd of fools
A broken bottle to my throat
This balancing act I perform for the crowd will be sold out soon

If I fall that's entertaining
But survival's entertainment too
If I cut my throat mid-air for their pleasure
Do I win? Or do they lose?

My Moon

Do you have to leave so soon?
Her smile gives my heart a tune
I can't regret, I won't forget, you are
My moon

Luminescent and oh so bright
Reminders rest in that soft light
Let me tuck you in tonight
My moon

I can't forget
I won't forget
Let me hope for this life, rather than the next
I can't forget
I won't forget
Trying to make this life better, rather than the next

And as the motes fall slightly
Slowly through the leaves
A reminder of this family
Complicating simple things
Gracefully
Find me please
I'll be waiting for you here my love
Beneath these apple trees

I can't forget
I won't forget
Let me hope for this life, rather than the next
I can't forget
I won't forget
Trying to make this life better, rather than the next

Do you have to leave so soon?
Give my heart another tune
I can't regret, fore you are
My moon

The Rain

Sheets of rain pour from heaven, concussive drops falling in succession another life being lead, too far in the wrong direction how am I so up when I'm down?

Another mistake
Another one made
Another hole in the back of my brain
Another hope
Will hurt the most
When falling from the highest points

Coming from the sky
Released from the clouds
How am I so up when I'm down?
Visiting earth
With such a wide berth
And no idea of what I'm to do here

And maybe I'm just speaking in cipher, over and over again, or maybe I'm just breaking the fibers of the cage I've been held in. Maybe the world isn't what it seems, the sun is poking through the trees, maybe I'm spinning dark imagery when the world is a beautiful thing.

Eyes are glazed
With this thoughtless grey
Expecting too much, hope whisked away
Fight for the moments
Trapped in focus
And I'm still up when I'm down.

Put on another smile
With tears behind these eyes
I don't think anyone's listening, for the screams beneath petty lies
Constant attempt to translate
Try to understand this point of view
I'd rather edge in the corners than open myself to you.

And maybe I'm just speaking in cipher, precipitating my next sin. Or maybe the second hand is ticking down to fall on my head again. Maybe the rain needs the sun vice versa and contradicting things, maybe the world isn't as ugly, as I'm spinning it to seem.

Everything is vibrant
Everything in different shades
All I hear is the cries of children, with views of a world stuck in grey
Throbs are aligning in my head
With drizzles of people with no names
Another drop of water on my head may send me reeling in time again.

Pink Petals

Pink petals fall out
Of these obvious cast skies
Intangible lies

Open your shut mind
Is it still your fault this time?
My confined remorse

Every light turned green
Contraire to what you believe
Give this one more try

Intangible lies
Out of obvious cast skies
Pink petal fall-out

Nosferatu Anxiety Two

In the scheme of things I want to believe that everything is gonna be alright, nosferatu has his hand on the switch and he's about to turn out the lights. That evil grin, the stagnant sin of letting life pass you by because the fear of your future which is looking more bleak than bright

Where do you step off from here when the stones beneath your feet are falling further into the abyss and the monster churns the screams. Sucking you into its gullet, we are nutrients to the machine, metal spokes and sulfuric smoke constantly needing to feed

Hand in hand we take our stand like sloppy spaghetti strings, fighting for all the wrong reasons and needing a spotlight just to see
But the appendage we clasp is cold as ice when we melt into the fray, waiting for the only feeling you get from the burn of a razor blade

Ignorance is bliss and sealed with a kiss then silently tucked away, the fear we feel in darkness, unjustified I must say
What you can't see won't hurt you or is that what I want you to believe? Take a moment to make your decision, it's the only way out, you see?
