Your Big Secret

Words splatter
against the great white
and there is not
a word I see
to be you.
You, the intricate
delicate traces of
of a life
no one gets.
A mystery case
of nonchalant ways
the somewhat
magnetic unexplainable
chase...
I still cannot find
your realm of essence,
the one
you hide to keep
as your big secret.
I squirm in defeat
another let down
of what I think you to be.
Hide and seek,
Games you play with
your heart in a jar
and head upon the fence,
Never letting anyone win.
You could if you let it,
let me peek through,
a mere chance to
stumble on your glorious
throne
of untold stories.
I can sit there with you
Listen to only you
discover all the
Uncharted valleys
of your secrets, your truth.

My Turn To Dance

I discover me,
A dancing jester
To this life presented
To me.
I scanter and roll
And smile so sheepishly.
The music beats with drums
of haunting days
to come.
I still dance.
And feel weak still.
I take off my
Jester's hat,
With a few strands
of hair in my hand.
No need to help me.
It's my turn to
dance.

Beautiful Interruption

You have come so quickly,

Where do I begin to

Warmly welcome you?

You are unexpected,

My beautiful interruption.

How do I come to reasons?

Skeptic of your coarse, your purpose,

I only arrive to disillusions and discord.

Should I be shocked? As if nothing led

up to the fateful present....

Well, I could

For the sum of all these

Are not so easily understood.

The long waited meltdown has begun

A mountain of pride

begins to collide

Certainty is no more, I have left it in mercy's hands

The bitter acceptance still has not settled in

For you force your way to stay

And I, I have nothing else to do

I have no choice, but to only leave my life up to a hopeful chance.

For a While

Hide me in the brightest love
in the deepest corners of your arms.
Just a look ....
Your face tends to lift me off
somewhere other than here,
a thousand miles away.
I don't feel the world is gonna cave in,
I'm in the lightest parts of you
taking it in.
Let this not pass.
It's more than a good feeling,
I transcend and surpass the hurt.
And I'm glad that for a while
this could last.

Beyond Broken Skies

don't know where I'm going
seems like I'm pausing
for too long
still my home is far
much too far from here
And I'm feeling I should live
beyond those broken skies
where I can be in arms of loves
grace

I Dream In Rain

I'm off to nowhere
As tired eyes
Close to sleep
Funneling
To a different life
Tonight
I see mist and gray
Void of color shade
This bleak wonderland
Dream
Of my heart reflected scenes
The broken smiles
Treaded miles
Flashed back picture reruns
Of bittersweet life
This dream tonight
Dark and wet
Pouring tear falls
Washing dread
Here is where I make amends
Solace waits
as Closure speaks
To tie loose ends
My dreams, I forgive
My dreams are places cherished
I begin again
The pouring tears of
Long lost pain
Trips down my memory
Are vivid
Because I dream in Rain

In the Back Seat

I sat there with you
In the back seat.
You began to speak
As I looked out the window.
Saw the wind and rain beat
against the trees.
Why say anything at all?
Even at this time,
When the world has fallen
You say stupid things...
Many things.
(sigh)
I wish it was quiet for just
Awhile.
Maybe you'd face all the pain.
Your denial.
These moments in the back seat
of this black car,
Are years of dreadful pain
Can't wait til the hours pass
And I am in my room
Where you are not.
Such a day, will I not forget,
As I sat there with you
In the back seat
Exclaiming your reasons
Justifying your guilt
Your heart stiff
As stone.
The day you change,
Will be the day
I sit in the back seat
with you, alone.

Glories Past

Once in some part of my past

I knew.

I knew in moments time

A glimmer of Heaven lived inside.

Not knowing from where strength

or courage came,

Ascending on a celestial plight,

I was high and sane.

I was filled with a love that had power

That was bigger than I.

And who could've seen days in futures hour

The me I loved, the me I left behind?

It is I who sees the once beaming soul

Here now, frustrates in the mold.

This Place You Call Chaos

Your mouth opens
And I don't hear anything...
but an orchestra of screams
when will I be rescued
from this cathedral of
your pain
Its still like when
I was young,
you're opened up like
a bloodied wound
that cannot heal
You won't let it heal
sucking the life out of me
wanting all of the pity
I can't seem to give
anymore
I'm thinking of me this time
and you still muster
in your chaos of life
never wanting to change
keeping me at arms length
your guilt is the choke hold on me,
drop your rope from
where you see us
I need to be rescued
quiet the ruckus
silence the nervous shouts
let them be subdued
I'm wanting....out.

Shenanigans

You make your decisions
while I shout in rage
for neglecting us

You say, "I need to get away"
All I can think of
is, "you don't communicate"

You don't hear me
You refuse to

The fuel is fed
my blood has bled
and the rage goes on and on

I'm screaming at a wall
You're mesmerized by
your infatuations
spellbound to your inclinations

Your reasons to go
are so minuscule
you make them up
as you go along

I see right through you
but you think I'm not that
smart
Oh you never could see the real me
because you could never open
your heart

So goodbye
to all of your shenanigans
You won't see me
Or get my love again
