My Son

I'll lend you my body awhile,
in sweet exchange for a smile.
I'll grow and prepare for your birth,
make way a space on this earth.
I'll build you a house that's a home,
so the street's you never do roam.
I'll work til the day is done ,
to give you a good life my son.

Lovers Lane

Love is a two way street, with a one way sign.
Made for dual purpose, but defect by design.

Feeling Blue

Feeling Blue

My arms feel so empty, my heart void of soul.
I have tears aplenty, but alas they will not roll.
My body aches through bone and skin to every living pore.
What must be done to fix the pain and sorrow I abore.
I stand here so lonesome, I quietly contemplate.
What holds my fears so tightly, will they dissipate.
My eyes look in the mirror, my foot falls to the floor.
My body carries out the drill so I live a little more.
My mind is quick to figure, my face quick to fake.
My lungs take in the air I breathe, my heart won’t stop to brake.
I know these are all feelings, simple but very true.
I write these words for today because I feel so blue.

A Little Piece of Me

“Hi my name is bottle I contain a lovely wine,
I come to you honestly I taste quite divine.”
“My friend stay a while and I’ll take care of you,
Relax have a glass, maybe one or two.
Have another couple, it’s going down so well,
No-one will mind, they won’t be able to tell "
You feel so good you decide one more just might suffice,
So you go on a magic booze hunt for wine and a bit of ice.
You find you special store, you put there just in case
A friend should pop over with a little time to chase

You have another tipple, dance around the floor,
The second bottles going fast, my god it’s nearly four.
You wake up from your slumber you think you’ve had a nap,
The alarm is raging, wake up, its morning holy crap.
You went to sleep quite sober or did you, you don’t know?
You can’t remember going, did you make yourself a show?
You stumble to the bathroom, you brush your teeth and hair,
You peer into the mirror you really have to stare.
The person staring back at you is a swaying ugly mess.
But you have to earn some money, so off to work I guess

You make it to your work place and think “I’m in the clear”
You forget about the swaying and the smell of o de beer.
You don’t notice other people watching sneering from afar
Thinking is she really with us today? Did she drive her car?
You make as little contact with all the folk you meet
Your heads not really up to all that meet and greet.
You concentrate through the mighty din that has become your brain
And swear on all and sundry your never drink again.

The clock is slowly ticking and yes home time nearly is here
You hear your friend wine, whispering in your ear.
You try not to listen but alas a he is back to play,
You forget the state you got in only yesterday.
The sun is finally setting, the day has come full tilt,
There is no time to count the money lost or the glasses that are spilt.

The time elapses,
Weeks turn into months, months turn into years,
People stop listening to your excuses or care about your tears,
So you stick with your friend the bottle because only they know
How deep your sickness has become and how you’ve stooped so low.

Your kids are pleading mummy, your boss said on your bike,
But hell kids are resilient and I can get a job anytime I like.
“ Oh god this not happening I really have mucked up
All for the sake of my mate bottle, I don’t even need a cup.
My word has turn to hell on earth and I grapple with a notion
Maybe wine is not my friend, but a really evil potion.

Immortal Love

Immortal Love

Perchance I spied across the stars,
the lonely heart of distant mars.
I heard the song so sweet and true,
and know alas it came from you.
Mine heart it cried from deep within,
the beat, the thump, the mighty din.
your name forever stamped on my heart,
My immortal love we shalln't part.

I tried to sing to call your name ,
no ears can hear I'll go insane.
My roars, my fears, my heart, my soul,
Shall die before my body's toll.
but here now my heart with in,
Shall listen to the distant din.
and want like all true lovers do,
my immortal love so sweet and true.

You may not hear me call your name,
Your eyes may never see me again.
but the stars in the night brightly shine,
I know once again thy shall be mine.
I hear Mars song, singing her way,
and hope you hear what I have to say.
This is a love so rare and true,
My immortal love i give to you.
