When held in your arms
I'm crowned by your love
I know I am now safe
Your warmth empowers my inner soul
as I'm wrapped in your sweet embrace
You've inspired me to reach ever higher
as we launch into our new beginning
No storm or perils will break our meld
It's a partnership, not a confinement
respect, love and trust are intertwined
It's in your devoted love that I'm freed
Free to live, love and share life with you
Together we'll paint the world more glorious!

The press was hot; I touched it not
There seemed to be no leaven
A dying breed with no 'poet's creed'
A smothered voice from heaven
behold has sold bent soul for pots
The pans have surely risen
A 'call' obscure, now angles high
in realms beyond dry lands
I write for song and carry on
this voice to soothe the soul
I hold no depth...I'm so inept
for a time I am granted
a resting place, a burdened space
a rock to rest my head
For peace escapes my deepest core
bargaining my talents
A long awaited shift has shone
beneath my wearied toes
It matters not, the pain of past
The gift is ever present

Crystalline flakes gently caress my cheeks
Clear brisk air fills my being with new life
Brittle ice shatters, breaks beneath my feet
Silence, solitude, no worries or strife
I walk, I breathe, I think, I am alive
to dream, to wonder, to stand and turn anew
to God, who blazes and guides my holy strive
to follow, to abide, to walk like few.
Worship so intimate, each step brings me,
like the dawn of morn, closer to Your light,
brilliant source of truth, of hope, of peace
I am alive to give You praise tonight.
At the end of my days, there I will be,
in this place always, Lord, only with thee.

sinkholes
suddenly slam
earth asunder
do you hear the thunder?
the rains are coming
can you sense it in the air?
Chaos everywhere...
mountains falling
streams heaving
rooftops caving
everyone shaving
parts of themselves clean
scoured and plastic
bereft of all real knowledge
standing above
looking down
sneering
clearing the way
for mediocrity
upholding vile
impudent waste
as predominately
