I Battle With Englsih

I battle with English
They often ask as me where I'm from
I reply, "not from the English"
I live with in the west with my mom

No siblings no pet just books to read
I read grandfathers books, in my language
In English I know the little I need
I always carry my books in my luggage

I travel to the east the west
I find it hard to co-mmuni-cate
The big words won't let me rest
They say I'm doing awful at this rate

I tell them that I'm not English
I see spelling errors when I type
com-pu-ter helps me with my English
It's a disaster when I have to Skype

But I am who I am
I can't speak Spanish, Venda or Punjabi
A failure is not who I am
Just not afraid to admit I battle with English

My Sun

You are my sun
My little rainbow
Those little cheeks
Those little hands
You hold my heart
I hold yours
In my hands in delight
You are my sun
A brightened day
By your incomplete smile
It means the day
The light of day
You are my sun
My day in colours
I care for you
Not only by heart
I wish to feed you
Give you baths
Hold your hand to school.
You are my sun
Not only today
When you're old and scary
I'll be your light
I'll be the land you step on.
The soil the sand.
I love you.

To my little unborn sibling

Mothers Day

Happy mothers day though to some it brings sadness
Life unpredictable, we do miss our own
They lay quiet in peaceful places somewhere in heaven
Somewhere unknown, happy mothers day to you
Happy mothers day to you, the one I see.
Happy mothers day
I do think about you who lost hers
She loves you it’s nature unshaken
Happy mothers day. I love you

They Use Us

I heard my own voice crawling on the walls
Scratching the mirrors of my soul
When you’re helpless
When help itself cannot help you
I saw my anger dressed in black
I asked it to stay calm and turn away
When help itself couldn’t help me

I looked into the windows of my soul
There I lay with nothing but a voice
A voice that could set me free
Free from the suffering
Emotional pain that crucifies the heart
When you have to sacrifice your heart
For a coin, or the chance to live

I lay down thinking about my sorrows
I lay down thinking about evolution
I lay down thinking about religion
I lay down thinking about destiny
I lay down thinking about life
I lay down thinking about nothing
Because even these thoughts can’t help me
