Homework

I try, I try, I try again
This cycle, I just can't break free
Every day the same routine
Yes, it is tiresome,
But it is necessary
Says the teacher
Who without fail,
Gives it out everyday
What could this be?
Homework, what else?

She Is For Me

When I look at her I know she has the key,
I don’t get it, why can’t she see?
Her eyes so blue, her hair so fair,
There’s no one else that could ever compare
I see her run like a leopard,
She makes me want to be a little intrepid
The beauty, the wonder,
Now I’m sure that she is for me

A jewel doesn’t even come close to her beauty,
A diamond’s not even in her league
I could make a whole book series about why I like her,
Without even having to try
An amazing masterpiece, a piece of art,
She’s something that not even Di Vinci could create
A rose or violet not even close,
Now I’m sure that she is for me

She could be the fire for my fuel
The smile on my face,
The motivation for my race
I can’t bear the the wait
Until the day where I can call her my soulmate
All she needs to say is yes,
Before all of this becomes a mess
I need her, I want her,
Now I’m sure that she is for me

My Brother's Dissapearence

I was year 3 at Riveroaks School. I was doing my spelling words with my Mum. Nana was over from Tokyo for a holiday, she was reading the newspaper.
Suddenly I realised that something wasn’t quite right, there were no high pitch screams or continuous cries. “Wheres Tom” said Mum calmly. “Last time I saw him he was on his trike” I said. We rushed outside to see if Tom was riding on his trike, but to our surprise he was nowhere to be seen.
We went over to our next door neighbor's house to see if he had wandered over. He wasn’t there but she reminded us that we go over to Riveroaks School a lot and that he could have walked over there.
After a thorough search around the school we thought we should check the backyard to see if he was playing with a ball or crawling around on the grass. We weren’t surprised when we found that he wasn’t playing on the grass.
We then decided to see if Papa knew where Tom was. But Nana thought we should think about what we did with him. “We took him to Riveroaks School then he went on his trike then we didn’t see what he did next.” We came to the conclusion that Papa knew where Tom was.
So we went to the lounge and as we opened the door we were surprised to see my Papa reading the paper and Tom watching his favourite tv show. “Why didn’t you tell us Tom was here”, Nana said. “You didn’t ask” Papa replied.

She Has To Go-Make Their Jaws Drop

Her hair so silky,
Her stride so luxurious.
She runs and I follow,
I want her to stay

We play in the paddock,
Among the hay bales
Her favourite past time,
My favourite past time

She has to go,
Go away
It's for the best,
I know it is

She's my night, my day,
My everything
She runs to my arms,
For the very last time

I kiss her on the head,
And tell her how much I love her
For this is it,
The end of the road

It's time for her to go
Out of my head,
But forever in my heart
I take my beautiful horse to the vet,
Where she will be put down

I cry and cry,
But then I remember,
She will always be in my heart

The Race

The anticipation is there,
There's nothing to fear!
Just one race,
I must face
To get the credit
For my merit
I'm ready to engage,
To release my rage
The lines before me,
My path to the key
I hear the noise
So I steady my poise,
Here we go,
Fear me though!
Bang!
My legs are flying,
My arms are supplying
Down the track,
I can't cut back
Just a few more seconds,
A gold medal beckons!
Over the line I leap,
I feel like I could fall asleep
I won!, I won!
Oh, what fun!
I claim my gold medal,
Quite something to hold
I did achieve,
But now I must leave

Live In the Future

Do you realise the amount of grains we have left,
Dropping down the timeless into eternity.
We can't go back,
So live in the future.

Do you realise the impact we could have
We have to act soon before we are no more
We can't go back,
So live in the Future.

We can run our race,
Jump our hurdles.
Defeat our beasts,
Destroy our fears.
We have to do something,
We have to act now

We can't go back,
So live in the future.

My Other World

This has become a weekly occurrence
I get transported into another world,
It's like I don't live in this broken world anymore

Trees, birds, and amazing scenery,
Fill up my eyes with wonder and joy
I'm here again,
My happy place

I feel like I could climb a mountain,
Or even touch the stars
I'm pumped,
I could do anything

I go on a mission,
To hunt a bear
I'm excited but scared
Suddenly I know whats coming,
Not a bear but something completely different

The dreadful monster, Wake
It bites into my skin and tears my limbs out
I don't wan't to go,
But I know I have to

I jerk awake, I'm back
Back to the dark, bitter world

In My Head

Back and forth, I'm so unsure
In my head it was so much easier
Should I keep going
Or should I call it quits
I want to keep going
But I want to leave
What should I do,
What should I do
Ok, fine I'll just go through
Oh man, Oh man
What have I done
I thought it would be,
So much fun
I have not won
I have not lost
I've just drawn
With the voice inside of me
