Casper the Unfriendly Ghost

Welcome to your new home!
Tucked away in this lovely town of harmony
where tourists visit often
and our bears wander in society!
Please, make yourselves comfortable
feel free to settle in
should you have any questions
my numbers on this napkin.

Charming place
-cheap too!
We certainly lucked out
I knew I could count on you!

We hugged, laughed
unpacked our things
arranged furniture
and prepared for the evening.

The excitement beginning
our new life was real
yet a heavy air lurking
was strong and surreal.
What felt like walking through fog
congested by malice energy
I chose to ignore
for the sake of my sanity.

Months had passed
strength indeed-spirit grew.
Doors constantly slamming shut
items falling over
a good night sleep-next to none.
Anxious nights I spent awake
until this spirits final outbreak.

Alone at home on a winters night
I sat anxious and afraid.
3AM on the couch
watching the clock
slowly tick away.
It was then I heard-above my head
footsteps sluggishly dragging.
Loud and evident
across our bedroom
toward the hall-coming at me!
Could this be an intruder-I thought?
Or maybe a ghost?
The sound is too real
for me to sit and diagnose!

Out the door-in a hurry
I certainly did not stay to see
Off and away in my vehicle
felt safest to me.

Tired and terrified
I began to ask questions
who is this spirit
why hasn't it gone to heaven?
My husband gave-way
FINALLY
putting my "sanity" at bay- knowing all along.

HE- an anger charged blood
in a flowing stream of liquor
set forth a determined man.
Gripping his gun with tears in hand
to keep his children
in lieu of division.
Rise to fail
he would not stand
surrounded by sirens
-Our Home-
belted in confinement
he would not let them go.
Until his last shot
until his final blow.

Thereafter-we found a new home
no longer did I stay
in the shadow of- He
who took his own life
who dwells the house of dismay.
The house of sadness
the house- He lays.

Disney

I'm nowhere near what I used to be
But somehow, I feel set free.
I'm no longer a lifeless puppet
Strung along like little miss muppet.
You stole a peice of me I'll never get back,
Another notch on your belt,
a real class act.
I try to forgive, so I can find peace.
It seems impossible, I'm still angry.
You're in control
even out of my life,
I feel less than whole...
That's what you want, right?
Just call me Pinocchio,
Whittled to your perfection.
Dreaming a new life,
in this world filled with hell,
Stuck in the present.

Fostering Lost Love

Breathless life
Silenced shadow
Denounce fixed hallow love.

Still beauty feeds desire
Longing what was.

Here life, forgotten love
Shall nest upon this chair.
Guard not love life forgotten
Hereafter eternal affair.

Whisper Unheard

Relentless venom in a still river
seeing out it's weak.
Tainted beauty cries
pure, sweet, eternity.

What was then
could not be now.
Such tales surely hold
mistaken ground.

A whisper heard,
a voice in the wind,
Shadows sweep over,
darkness begins.

With each taste
there's little pain.
His burning venom
numbs my veins.

Rid me from such despair,
beyond this paralyzed nightmare.

Bring me back to that still river,
let me hear such tales again.
Let the wind voice it's worries,
before it's darkness see's me in.

Pillar of Light

Lucent light shine through
my anguish
self captured treasures.
Purify my existence
awakening pleasures!

Release all-held onto
I must leave behind
to be at peace
my core is present
and centralized.

Behold awareness
perceive foresight
embrace love and forgiveness
enlightened by my spirit guide!

Summers Moonlight

Sweet summer set amid moonlight
                              rest young poised perfection.
                                Lying supine among stars
                                 questioning inquisition.
Endless night let not be dawn
Thou hast dreamt this far too long.

Spring

A new flower begins to sprout
green buds closed, barely peeking out.

The crisp air warms as a farmer wakes up
chirping baby birds, fresh pink tulips.

One bunny, two bunny, three bunny, four...
Away each hop to play and explore!

Fragrant lilacs dance with the breeze
nectar gathered by hardworking honey bees.

A darting duckling follows her mother
while the furry caterpillar seeks a cool cover.

Bright blue skies on a cloudless day
a joyful child excited to play!

May you March this April with springtime in mind
for this sun-kissed season was designed to unwind!

The Hanged Man

Aye, to adjoin The Hanged Man
suspended from his mundane world
traveling a paradox journey
lost in a timeless underworld.

I see you, Hanged Man
with your hands tucked away
your eyes ever so peaceful
watching fate make way.

I hear you, Hanged Man
as you silently speak
"You must sacrifice for the greater good"
-but do so quietly.

I feel you, Hanged Man
like the passionate red you wear
to attain knowledge and mystery
one must remain patient
unselfishly.

Bounded Truth

Condemned eyes bleeding
unrighteous persecution
fear not consequential truth.

Past the unsaid
your eyes speak riddles
bounded by vines,
behind stringent lies.

Poisonous misery
Seeks a porous heart.
Estranged soul
Set this world apart.
