Rhythms

Winter seeks for heat
summer longs to stay this heat
only to give way.

Equilibrium

My vision tingles, colors awaken
as if they'd been fossilized in a photograph of
black and white.

My sight starts to single out exactly

                           what isn't there.

I stare, immense beauty exploding-
a supernova of stellar Earthly sights
pierces the veil of vile synthetic lights.

They skew, anew, casting golden lemon drop
crystals amongst the freshly sprouted green petals
of grass.

And at last,
while sharing their golden nectar amid white
wisps of washed out clouds that patch the
glistening sky,

dragonflies

                  flitter

                             by.

Intertwined and combined in perfect unison, they sing-
all is as it should be,

we are the epitome of yin and yang.

Dusk

Sun slowly shining
softly slipping now to dusk-
to be swallowed whole.

Nebula

shaking rhythm
like stylus pen on punctured paper,
I move to move my Self
in silent form across the slippery
sanctuary of being.

being is the only thing that hurts
when time turns to dust and rusts
in space between mattress and floor

yet- what is space anyway?
but a hundred billion atoms in between
you and I-
when once it felt like none

when once it felt as if only separation
was our skin bagged bodies between our souls
and eternity softly kissing the crevice of a second.

but now… just shaking rhythm-
shaking, silent, spaciousness from
one withering star to another-
ebbing light licking itself from the atmosphere
with nothing to keep it warm
but the nebula to our next life.

Light Leaves Dark

Light floats over form and face
         Tracing the lines of existence-
Coalescing into a shower of specks that
         Sets and runs smoothly towards
The darkening slate of Earth-

                                               It breaks free-

Leaving all Enmity behind, Light
Lowers itself from the plane of sight-
An intimate display- gold and maroon and deep violet
Make love- swirling and levitating, making
Sure their neighbors- everyone- can see.

What a thoughtful gesture- before abandoning the
         World to its polar Darkness.

The Revolution of the Year

For some a breath, for others a life.
Clinging onto customary rebirth
as if youth had a second chance.
Another glance shows a golden page
raging and teeming with ambient,
thriving buds so gloriously bound to the
Earth as if ill fate could not
sweep their life away.
Then the slide begins to creep about
with its taunting trickery,
calming the senses with
crunching greens of no more color.
Smell envelops the mind,
thinking nothing of time until
the brisk begins to beg.
Sliding now, colors crystallized,
eyes take longer to hold their luster.
Everything breathes slowly until left
gasping for air, but its no longer there.
Here, commences the biggest artifice of all-
Love blooms.

That Fleeting Feeling

so much is held within silence, that has yet to be appreciated
while everything that is nothingess, yearns to be satiated
and elated with understandings that are demanding
too much

I've been searching this whole time for what was already there
as the the crimson and hazel eyed me down with a stare
to remind me just how kindly that life remains unfair

unfair in words that could never be expressed
forever leaving my heart with not but a guess,
a request that keeps me utterly hanging, still
un-changing between two crooked dimensions
simply, only longing for the attention

spent my words trying hard to be cheap
while sanity seemed to take the back seat
I could only try to keep calm for so long before
I tasted the meaning of this beautiful song

sing to me the meaning of what it means to smile

perhaps just to lay in the sun for a while,
in comfortable silence that's just understood,
i get it, you get it- its all good

but maybe im just dreaming and it wasn't okay
for the clouds seemed to cover the sun on that day

should've just stayed and spared my last change, then maybe
my words would be slightly arranged.
but this deranged state of mind can find reason for being,
it's just another feeling that to experience is fleeting.

in the end I remembered I had a voice,
with the realization that happiness is always a choice.

Tampanensis

Go along, just sail away
My brain becomes a sea.
Ever consuming, this intoxication,
That makes me forget I'm me.
Lost in the water, the world painted bright
Perhaps I am finally free,
The sea opens up, it's dying of thirst
But will learn to just let it be.

Licking it's lips, hungry for more,
This tantalizing food for thought.
The sky melts into the sea
Just begging to be taught.
My chains come off, waves start to splash,
Boiling, perhaps too hot.
I must remember to tell the sea
That knowledge cannot be bought.

What's opened and what's seen
Cannot be taken back.
For it is too late, it’s been digested,
Slipping through the cracks.
As the sea starts to calm, quenched of its thirst
I'll continue to find my track,
Until the world, still painted bright,
Slowly fades to its former black.
