X Files

Fact or fiction Mulder Insists look at the evidence aliens exist
Out of the window a shining light when he turns sister out of sight
Xfiles open this is where it starts examining every file looking at every chart
Mulder is united with Dana of course her first assignment to dig up a corpse
Undeterred she follows his lead trying hard not to believe
Looking in the mirror dana gets a fright Mulder reassures her just mosquito bites
Dana’s not sure the science is not there Mulder grunt with a look of despair
Extra-terrestrial one day he will find until then always on his mind
Remembering Samantha, he returns to basement the truth is out there why can’t you face it

Spring

Spring is in the air fall now in the past
Pink and white blossom daisy’s don the grass
Reeds in the pond sound of water flow
Ignites all the senses sun stunning glow
Nesting in the trees the birds are finally home
Garden full of life wonderful place to stroll

Nature

March 2011 spring is on the way
The sea is Calm slight haze on the bay
The sea is our life the fishing is good
We depend on the ocean for our livelihood
Rumble in the distance buildings begin to shake
Screaming shouting it’s an earthquake
Riverbeds are dry as the water reseeds
Nowhere to run nowhere to hide
Run run faster as quick as you can
Got to get higher every woman child and man
The town has been consumed devastation everywhere
People are in shock cries of despair
Sky drenched in flame dust in the air
Such immense power natures so unfair
The sea is usually benign but not two day
Twenty thousand souls washed away
This cannot be we learned from the past
Built the levies higher built them to last
No matter what we do it will never be enough
Natures to strong and where not strong enough

Friends

Sanofi now and then
Friends I’ve made so many
Working so hard saving every penny
First guy on the scene
Angus he was great
Made me feel welcome
That I appreciate
Joan and Annette
Tom and Dan
Lynn and Fitz
Irene and Anne
Alison David Glynis and john
So many friends have come and gone
Eric and Raymond Norman and mick
Fred and Sharon Doreen and dick
Irene had a spill me and Norman laughed
She looked like a snowman covered head to toe
Highlight of the day if the truth were known
Helping one another to make it through the day
Looking to the weekend and of course our pay
Ally and Diane Alan and Graeme
Angie and martin Jim and Phil
Margret and Helen bobby and Steve
Just so many hard to believe
Tracey Jan Paula and Leslie
Oh of course Elvis Presley
Memory’s I hold so dear to me
Pat and Alex Miley and dee
Tony and Norma Val and Jackie
Always trying to keep us happy
Sue and Gail Jeanette and Gordon
Simply the best us lot at Fawdon
I wish you a great future from the bottom of my heart
As one chapter end a new one starts

Domestic

You take I give
You speak I listen
You call I answer
Your bad am good
Your drunk am dry
You lunge I hide
You laugh I cry
You hurt I bleed
You hit I plead
Your fist my face
You stay I leave
You crawl I grieve
Your sorry am not
Your sad am fine
Your loss not mine

Desire

The different paths we are on
You have money and I have none
You are a star
Am just a writer
I look for peace
While you’re just a fighter
You’re a red carpet
Am a bare floor
I ask for nothing
you ask for more
I wait for one love
And you have many
You spend a dime
And I spend a penny
You have posh meals
I have soup and bread
You have a four poster
And I a single bed
I would not change just for a slice of your pie
You are just a stranger not the apple of my eye
There is just one thing you do not obtain
I have my freedom you just stress and strain
Everything you have yet am the one who’s happy
Is it just me are you just batty?
If I had one wish, I’d give the wish to you
Well just to see just to see what you would do
Money and stardom are not what you’re about
You might want to consider those you go without
If fame is your desire return the wish to me
For I would feed the world and not just a few
look what stardom has done to you

Blind

Baby am sorry I did not consider
The tears in your eyes the stains on your pillow
Baby am sorry my work took your place
I did not see the sadness the pain on your face
You’ve lost the passion the lust in your eyes
No facial expression it’s just a disguise
Deep inside resides a spark
Can I retrieve it and open your heart?
I lavished you with gifts to keep you buy my-side
A beautiful woman with dignity and pride
Now am all alone with just myself to blame
That the price I pay for stardom and fame

Fear

He’s my hero rock from the ground
Strong and gentle he holds my hand
My face turns pale lip starts to quiver
Knuckles turn white protrude through my skin
Remove my shoes push my toes into the floor
Start to shake when they close the large doors
The people around me, don’t seem to bat an eye
And here I am afraid to die
My seat belt so tight it cuts me into
Totally focused staring at the crew
The stranger next to me holds my hand tight
When all of a sudden the engines ignite
Tears in my eyes when we take to the sky’s
Skin in my nails blood on his hand
just as well this stranger understands
Keep apologising while we are in the air
the crew gather round they generally care
Five hours later wheels touch the ground
Thank god for that am safe and sound

Age

75 he sits in the park
He feeds the birds
says hello to passers bye
But no one stops to look him in the eye
With ageing bones and a broken dialog, he’ll
Be back tomorrow sitting in the park
