Goodbye Is Not Forever

Tears fell down my cheeks
My heart filled with sorrow
When you took your last breath
Knowing you won't be here tomorrow
The lives you have touched
Span from far to near
Your strength, love, and courage
We will always hold dear
Father, grandpa, brother, uncle
And a true friend to us all
The embodiment of selflessness
Your heart was never small
One day we shall meet again
No matter when or how
It's not goodbye forever
It's just goodbye for now

Sweetheart-Acrostic

Show me how much you care
Weep when I am not there
Enable my aspirations
Encourage my inspirations
Teach me the ways of love
Help me see the love above
Ease my doubts and fears
Allow my eyes to shed some tears
Remember I will make mistakes
Treasure me, don't let my heart break

What Christmas Means To Me

The time to gather
Round the table with love
To remember and praise
The love we receive from above
The time to be thankful for what
We have and feel blessed
The time to remember and help those
Who have much much less
The time to give back
For blessings we've received
The time to look back
On all we've achieved
The time to hold loved ones close
And tell them how much they mean
The time to remember those we've lost who can no longer be seen
A time of love, a time of hope
A time to let our doubts and fears free
This is, most of all
What Christmas means to me

New Beginnings- a Shadorma

In the dark
Finally escaped
I can see
A new hope
A light leads me where I'm free
The true me at last

Sorry

I'm sorry I can't tell you what's wrong
I'm sorry I cause you fear
I'm sorry you have to see me so low
I'm sorry for all the tears
I'm sorry I'm not perfect
I'm sorry for all of my flaws
I'm sorry for all of the stress
I'm sorry for any pain I've caused
But I thank you for standing by me
Thank you for never leaving my side
Thank you for not giving up on me
Thank you for seeing the me inside
Thank you for giving me a chance
Thank you for not turning away
Thank you for giving me everything
Thank you for wiping my tears away
Thank you from deep in my heart
For the love you give me everyday
I can never thank you enough
For showing your love in every way

Help Me

The feeling of judgment
Whether real or perceived
Cuts like a knife
Old wounds start to bleed
I don't want your pity
I just want you to see
That I'm hurting inside
And I just want to be free
I need someone to talk to
Someone I can trust
Who won't go behind my back
Will keep it between us
Don't know who I am anymore
A shell my old self
It's hard to find your way
When you're lost inside yourself
Sick of crying to others
For fear that one day
They will have enough
And push me away
I want to get better
I just don't know how
Because feelings of happiness
My brain just won't allow
People look at mental illness
As a disease that's not real
But dear God I want to get better Dear God please help me heal.

Merry Christmas My Angels

I miss you both so much
On this Christmas Eve
My Nanny and my Gramps
Why did you have to leave?
As we celebrate this day
In your house like years past
We may no longer see you
But your spirits will always last
Our family is strong
Because of your love
Merry Christmas in heaven
To my two angels up above

Free

I try to smile
When I hurt inside
I put on a brave face
My tears, I try to hide
From the outside
You may not see my fear
I try my best to fight it
So you don't see me shed a tear
I may not look crippled
You may not see me bleed
But inside a war is raging
Inside I beg and plead
Please, please just help me
Please see through the facade
See that my eyes betray me
Please see the pain inside
I'm not happy, it's just an act
Please can you see?
I don't want to be so broken
Please just set me free

Half a Heart

It hurts
It burns me at my core
The pain unbearable
Twisting like a knife
The grief, the sorrow
The mourning of your loss
Why? Why did you go?
Did I not love you enough?
Did my love not show?
Every day I miss you
Every day I feel lost
I can’t take it, can’t bear it
Want to run but can’t escape
Will I see you again?
Will I be in your arms once more?
Is life ever fair?
Is pain always there?
Can I wish it away?
Can they take me in your place?
Death is always there
Takes away what can’t be replaced
In the end when I see you
Maybe I’ll be whole once again
But until that time, all I will have is
Half a Heart
