I try to smile
When I hurt inside
I put on a brave face
My tears, I try to hide
From the outside
You may not see my fear
I try my best to fight it
So you don't see me shed a tear
I may not look crippled
You may not see me bleed
But inside a war is raging
Inside I beg and plead
Please, please just help me
Please see through the facade
See that my eyes betray me
Please see the pain inside
I'm not happy, it's just an act
Please can you see?
I don't want to be so broken
Please just set me free
