When You Speak My Name

Your voice, the velvet
Earth shattering voice,
I hear when I listen to you,
breaks my coldest winter
and brings forth a sun beam again.
I wait, hoping for a second
that I can hear you calling.
"Jesse"
my body, stricken with chills,
as I turn and look,
at those beautiful eyes,
red wine lips,
and raven hair,
I call back,
"yes?"
My mind boiling
with anticipation on what
I will hear next,
quaking with endless thought,
I finally hear,
"I love you"
my mind becomes awash
with ways to respond,
my strength wanes,
and my eyes water,
as I finally find the words,
"I...I love you too,"

Midnight Orchid

My dangerous flower
So beautiful, so poisonous
I bow to you in the moonlit landscape
I sleep with you in the sun bleached terrain.
I call to you, kissing your petals
I call to you, the venom burning my lips
The smile on my face burning to kiss you again,
the look in my eyes hoping
you'll honor me once more, my hands yearning
to hold yours I instead pull you close.
I again kiss you the poison makes me calm,
the poison calms my soul, my orchid,
my midnight flower, I love you.

The Modern Gentleman

The modern gentleman: he isn't perfect, he doesn't always stand with his head perfectly high, but he has a good head on his shoulders and usually too many goddamn thoughts on his mind. The only time he raises his hand is to defend the woman he loves, he keeps his smile wide, his friends few, and his words meaningful. He doesn't care about the status quo, nor does he want to. He can be the strongest man in the world or the weakest man alive, but it's in his mannerisms whether or not he will better those around him. he listens closely, appreciates everyone, enjoys the silly little aspects of life, and would give up everything if it meant protecting the woman who means it all, the family who loves him, or the friend who needs a brother. He is kind, gentle, powerful, loving, and sometimes stupid but realizes afterwards that he was wrong. He's not afraid to cry, whether it be in front of people or alone, and he treats everyone with the same respect.

I Have Fallen For You

I fell like the rain crying from the dark grey skies,
lying in the darkness
dancing in the light, I have fallen for you.
Roll me up in the ocean,
and draw me in the skies, I will never have enough.
Where do I speak?
Nowhere close enough to how I feel for you.
Love
You
Now
I could spend it forever each day,
each word, each sound is just a way I can say
I
Love
You
Now
And I will love you forever,
no one can take my words,
no one can take my voice,
you, my dear have left me wordless and voiceless.
Resonance itself could not bring back what you take away.
Resonance itself could not rip the blocks from my throat.
You have my unspoken love,
my unspoken passion, my unspoken support,
even as I speak my love, passion and support.

When I Stand With You

I stand alone, hidden from the shackles of social existence
Broken in pieces from reality to fantasy.
There is no line between the two
when I stand with you.
I cannot see the problems
I cannot hear the Lies in the world when I stand with you.

Shrouded from the limits
Of time and of space,
I wait for you
Bested by the broken pieces that I used to let rule me.
I stand here waiting, waiting for you to join me in the hiding so we will never change, never die,
And be together til we die.

Found here in the ocean,
The ocean of shadowy ties
I am strung together, sewn up with the thread of a thousand dyes I am here shaded, jaded, created to be with you, and as I lie, stuck in this written paradox, I will wait, for no one but you.

I call you here, bid you close by the words I speak, the letters I write, and the codes I tell, I bid you here to be beside me, in this place of time immemorial, in this place of hiding, to be shrouded from the world. While you stand by me.

My Harvest Moon

Shining brilliantly in speech and customs,
building a world with the words she speaks...
Building my world with her words.
I love her, building my life with her love.
Her the moon, the harvest moon as rare as she is beautiful.
My harvest moon as I look at her she knows,
and she looks at me and I know it,
my harvest moon, my magic, my muse, my moon,
my Myriad of words, to the moon I call you again

The Weathered Love

Every Poem I have written, every word I have spoken, it is never going to cover even a fraction of the love I have for you. Stunned into submission, I feel myself drown, my eyes closing, falling into a deathly sleep, I awaken next to you. Diving from the cloud tops I close my eyes as I plummet to the hard earth below, cradled by the wind that belongs to you, I am pushed, by the scales of resolve, into the endless forest that belongs to me. Slamming into the snow, shattering my body, I become part of the fallen ice. My blood rising with the rise of spring, into the skies that belong to you, we meet, holding hands, kissing lips, hugging embrace, and as you blow away I run with you, to the clouds again. We are one, if, for a moment, we are one, and I fall again, to the solid, rigid ground that I call my temporary home. Here I wait until I can rise again, “Sun” I cry, “pull me up once more, so I can be with her one more time, so I can hold her once more,” I yell and I feel the warmth of the blazing, radiant, evaporating sun, I feel myself rising again to her skies, but still as time passes I will fall to the ground or waters below. Until the day I can become the vapor that surrounds her, I will be the water rising and falling until I am with her once and for all.

Unbridled, Unbroken, Unchained

How long have I been trapped,
stuck in this prison wrapped
in a web of lies?
Screaming out to finally be heard,
I rip myself loose.
My unbridled rage quelled
only by the warmth I get from you.
My unbroken memories
serving no one anymore, are set free by you.
I am unleashed, unchained, unrestrained,
set in motion by you.
You've let me out,
and run away so now
I ask can I run with you?
Run to the bright oceans,
and swim through the liquid skies.
My mind unleashed,
in a sudden burst,
so I ask can I run with you?

Countless Rings

Through the hours, minutes and days,
she waits, listening silently to the way things are.
She speaks very seldom, her words,
powerful as the mighty oak, sweet as the cherry blossom.
Her hair swaying in the wind,
her voice sings away,
her heart, it calls my name,
and her eyes tell an endless tale,
she has story after story in her lovely mind,
her mind as complex as the rings of the tree,
her mind as solid as the bark of the redwood,
her mind as quiet as the willow.
She is her own beautiful flower,
she is her own lovely plant.
She stands against all who oppose her,
she is the strongest there is,
her words are solid, her mind is sweet,
her soul is endless as the rings of her own tree.

Tritium

Have you heard of the
glow of the girl, the bright
shining girl? She is my
Tritium, the radiant glow
outlining world I reside in.
Purely radioactive,
she blows up the planet,
solely with the sound of her voice.
I love her tritium,
I love her glow,
I love her.
Night time is her shining time,
while day she still stands out,
surrounded in a vial of crystal glass,
how will I reach her now?
I press my hands on her vial
and see her smile brighten up my world,
with one kiss from behind the glass
she sends chills down my spine.
The world is brighter with her radiant,
Tritium glow. My world is her experiment,
my world is lit up,
and blown apart, in the chemistry
that is our perfectly imperfect love.
