I'Ve Walked

I walked a little farther
than ever expected before.
grass high, water ripplin'
sun shinin' down.
What a perfect setting
for the less than perfect
people.

I see something new
something brigher than
I imagened
and mabye its just what I
need in the end.

Walk again.
I'll follow
take me to the hard days,
show me the way,
when the rain is pouring,
the clouds are rolling on,
without me.

I've closed a chapter;
stopped a show;
left a song unfinished.
and I'm happy that way.
Don't make the road
harder for me
I've had my share of times.

I wont look
in that rearview mirror.
I wont turn back
to see what I've left.
I'll make the promise to myself
and to the ones i love most.

Problem of the Past

The problems arise
From the beginning of our past.
Look them over,
Create a new start.

Facing the mirror,
We stare at the shells created
For us to fill
With dreams and hopes,
And loves and hates.

It's up to us;
It's up to fate.
I gave up for the final time
I'm not letting up.

Take my hand
Lead me through.
You've been my shoulder,
My conscience,
My guide

I'm a little lost,
To the world;
To the future;
And my past.
Hold me close,
Don't let go.

I can't let this happen again.

Symphony of Their Songs

I began to get lost,
in those eyes again.
But your interrupting lies,
Bring me back to life.
I'm torn between what was,
And is,
And is to be.
Although i don't know
What is to be,
to be our future.

We play the instruments,
That string together,
The notes of our fate.
The debate of who we are to be,
Together or forever apart.

Life continues to move on.
Through the winter storms,
Against the warm fires,
Or in the blizzard outside.
We'll make the choice,
To be alone
Or to join alongside,
The symphony of of their songs.

Oh, life its a broken
And fault filled road.
And you are the one,
The one that makes it all this way
To blame you alone,
Would be a sin.
So ill throw the rest on my shoulders
again.

Life continues to move on.
Through the winter storms,
Against the warm fires,
Or in the blizzard outside.
We'll make the choice,
To be alone
Or to join alongside,
The symphony of of their songs.

Your Stronger Than Your Burden

They wouldn't ever understand.
They wouldn't ever believe.
I'm the problem,
The one in the middle.

I wont be broken down,
Not for them anyways;
But for you,
The story is a little different.

What God says for the future,
Is still left untold
and unknown.
It's His surprise,
His gift,
After the storm.
He helps me through.

To see the end
Would take away
The burden.
But the burden
Will make us stronger.
Carry it a while longer
Then when its gone,
You'll see the work
Was all worthwhile.

For now,
Just stand tall,
Give up the issue,
And live the day
Moment my moment.
Smile at the problems.
They wont get to you,
Your too strong for that
I know this all too well.

Transisting Time

My time has finally come
My time has come to shine
The past set in stone
But something new is on my way.

The rain has fallen
The clouds covered my eyes
Misted over the truth
That i so needed to see
But its all gone now.
I see something brighter
That has brought color
To my black and white picture.

The greater season
Has come and surpasses
All that has been in my past.
The new has set in.
My drought fed by water
Of a broken heart sewn
By the hands of a stronger mind
A stronger soul and heart.

No longer am i held down.
My wings unbounded by
Tested time and wasted energy;
Lost emotions and mindset.
Taller i walk,
Stronger i step,
Longer i stride without missing a beat.

I wont rush it
I wont hide my thoughts
I'll be steadfast in beliefs
But open to change.
Break down my wall
Show me some light
Let me see
How it is all made right.
