Maybe

Standing on the edge of reason
Not knowing where to turn
Everything I held so dear
Wiped away by fear

Too scared to fully commit
Too scared to take that chance
Watching you walk out that door
Knowing you won’t be here any more

At least I know I tried
To that, you can't deny
In the end you will agree
We were never meant to be

All the Things...

Looking out over the cliff
To the beautiful sea
Wondering about all the things
That get to be free.
Jumping dolphins,
And lazy whales.
Schools of fish
And creeping snails
Sharks that hunt
And seals that play
All theses things happen
In just one day
As I sit on this cliff
Wondering about the beautiful sea
With all the things
That get to be free.

Love

When I look in your eyes
I knew it was true
My heart never lies
I’m in love with you.

I tell you how I feel
As my heart weeps
To know that I’ll never have
What I want to keep.

Your memory I keep strong
The thoughts of what you are
Although I can not have you
My love for you was there all along.

Snow

It melts in your mouth
It melts in your hand
It even melts
When it hits the back of your head!

So pretty and white
When it first falls
Perfect for making
The biggest snow balls!

You can make squares
And build an igloo.
Or roll it up
And get a snow man, too!

Oh, how fun it is
To play in the snow
Building citys and tunnels
That take you were you want to go!

At night when I am warm
And all snug in my bed.
I can’t wait until morning
When I can play like mommy said!

Red Rose

There it is
A wonderful red rose,
So beautiful and sweet.

There it is
In a beautiful pose
With petals laid so neat.

There it is
As I bring it to my nose
With a smell so sweet.

There it is
My beautiful red rose
I think I’ll take you home to keep.

Free

I know I am
Not supposed to
I can’t help it
I do love you.
To talk so easy
And listen so clear
Oh, how can I live
With out you near.
I know right now
We can not be
I don’t belong to you
You don’t belong to me.

One last kiss
Grant this for me
And remember, I will come
When I am at last free.
Free of the burdens
Free of the stress
When we can just be
Everything, no less.
It will happen
For us, you’ll see
One day we know
We will be free.

Lifes Secret Key

Walking down the busy street,
Willing my weak heart to beat.
People here and people there,
But no one really seems to care.

When I stop, you are standing there.
Seeing that you want to care.
When you ask me what is wrong,
I simply can’t help to feel a little strong.

So I look up and see your eyes
To tell you that my heart cries
But before I can get the words out
My face seems to want to melt

You pulled me in your arms so tight
Whispering words that it will be alright
You grabbed my hand saying “Come with me
I want to show you life’s secret key”

We walked along the busy street
Watching all the people that you greet
People here and people there
Every one really does seem to care

“All you have to do is look and see,
There are people that will agree,
As long as you are the best you can be,
You hold life’s secret key.”

Father

Oh, how my love is lost,
Sat on a battered hearts ledge,
With pitiful cries and tearful moans,
How I long to have our love back.

His love once caring and loving,
Cherishing everything that I do,
Then one day leaving my heart,
Never longing to come home.

The other family to his side,
Takes up all of his time.
They go outside and play fun games
As I watch from my windows ledge.

Laughing, gathering, mocking my frown
Yet he still can’t see my hurt
As if he’s looking in a mirror
And only seeing him self.

Oh, how I long to have that love
Seeing everyone else have it all
Always watching the things they do
Thinking how it would be to have that too.

Letting out my heart and soul
Letting you see how I feel inside,
The hurt and lost little girl
Just looking for the love of a father.

The Look In Your Eyes

The look in your eyes,
The smile you always have,
The way you look into my soul,
Makes my heart want to cry.

All the tears are happy,
Every one full of joy,
Should make you see all the love
I hold for you inside.

I love you more then life,
You’re my light, my heart, my soul,
Everything I say and feel,
Is meant for you to hold.

I hope you can see how this is hard,
But trust that it is all I can be.
Because when I look in your eyes,
I see your love growing more for me.

Sea

Crashing waves
Against the sea
Bodies as one
Like they were free

Lips touching
Like water to land
Bodies locked
The tide in command

Loving so deeply
Moving so fast
Flowing current
So beautiful and vast

When we are done
The storm calm
We rest and wait
Until dawn
