Sarina Mcconnell Poem
If life is like a box of chocolates,
is it rude to ask for candy?
Can you really say with certainty
that you even understand me?
When life hands you lemons
I think you'd better run.
Cause life can throw a curve ball
and hit you just for fun.
I can do without the chocolates
You can keep your lemons too.
Life is what you make of it
not what it makes of you.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
Be cautious walking along this path,
I can see that your shoes do not fit.
You won't get anywhere like that,
Not even a little bit.
Directions couldn't show you how
nor are there signs to help you here.
Instead you'll walk along this road,
until it finally leads you there.
Once you know you've made it home,
please live the best you can.
Because before you know, you can be
walking that lonely road again.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
How can you not see for yourself,
with eyes wider than the moon?
You cherish life out of bounds.
Yet forget what you consume.
Regrets are like broken steps.
So eventually your doomed.
Now your left screaming loud
and howling at the moon.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
Stepping stones
& Ginger Ale
Barbie dolls
with eyes to stare.
Lightning dances,
to different strokes.
More to Love
Much too close.
Speak your mind
& mind your manners.
Do what your told,
find the right answer.
Put it away for now,
just rest your crown.
Another high-hope,
is another let-down.
Money well spent is on
what was never bought
& i believe its called,
a penny for your thoughts.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
Do not just read what I wrote.
Know instead of what I meant.
It's been properly written down,
and are now inside of your head.
Though, you may have just begun
Your about to read the end.
What is it that I'm talkin about?
Ask the voices in my head.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
3 Pretty Little Fairies
are waiting for me.
Destiny, Hope and Opportunity.
I heard the good and the bad,
I laughed and I cried.
We went over everything after I died.
I've overcome my obstacles!
I had to put up such a fight.
I always known I'd make it, "in the light."
My fairies now leave me one by one.
But something was wrong.
Opportunity was already gone.
I stayed and waited for my fairies.
I waited as long as I had lived for,
until the day that I could no more.
2 pretty little fairies
One Hope, One Destiny,
said Opportunity has been waiting for me!
So I ran as fast as I could
to my fairy with the other 2.
I have to be quick, they're leaving soon,
Something takes me by surprise,
& my lungs fill up with air.
My fairies are gone, & everyone's here.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
I found a bird
with a broken wing
so he flew into everything
Now my poor bird
he cannot fly
i just really hope
he doesn't go outside!

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
Some people throw stones
& get hit with their own.
Getting out of line,
crossed paths on its own.
Losing control is your favorite topic,
pressure on a wound usually stops it?
Where will you go in your final hour?
Where would you go if it didnt matter?
Each breathe was well said
Each said was well read,
Only to be said, in the end, once again.
A preacher must preach
Whether speaking a lie
Whether tying a knot
Or dotting an i.
Patience keeps you waiting
Lovers will be kissed.
Emptiness consumes
Every part of what we miss.
You can't wait til it's over
Until the day you can say
I only made it this far
With the help of my mistakes.

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
I can't think
of what to write
right now.
So I'll start
by saying this.
and maybe after
then I'll remaster
and change a bunch of it.
The pen just follows
me around
when I begin to write.
As I think of nothing
I know I can now
fall asleep tonight

Sarina Mcconnell Poem
Give me an answer
& I'll ask you a question.
Nobody cares.
Cause who thought to mention,
that nothing is certain.
It's not that depressing.
Forget the confusion,
The pressure is pressing.
You thought you were losing,
it's on to the next one.
Constantly choosing
a different direction.
What are you doing?
You call that perfection?
You saw an illusion
then seek for protection.
Who always abuses
those giving affection?
Who are you fooling?
That's your own reflection.
