Wanting

Wanting…
Fills up time and clutters my mind.
Make me happy, I don’t like waiting.
The unknown hurts.
Not knowing my heart – the worst pain of all.

Who Owns the Day

Who Owns the Day?

Awake carelessly;
No connection to the internal dialogue.
Floating, a gentle space of minutes.
I wonder, how do I join the day?

Oh, go ahead, just pick a project,
   find meaning in your life!
Hurry, make good use of the time!
The ego rattles on.

Fear stomps in.
Do I have a mission, some higher calling?
Have I missed it?
How do I fix the day I’m wasting?

His voice calms my mind.
I’m in the stream flowing with life,
    it runs through me.
Lord, what a glorious day!

Let Me Cry

Let Me Cry

Oh curse the air that would dry these tears
that lie within their painful retreat.
The guardians of common sense
keep careful watch, lest the hidden treasure be exposed.

Oh let one drop flow and I would rejoice!
So dear the fluid, the waters of Galilee
are captured by a dam built by fear and guilt.
The fair pools are full; river beneath the river reflecting my heart.
Twin reflections hold tears for my son and daughter.
Long suffering has been a tearless torment.

Waiting

Waiting

Your whole life.
Tap, tap, tap.
Time is precious.
You treat it with such disrespect.

Acceptance

Acceptance

What a beautiful surprise.
I can stand still. I am here now.
I always have been.
The key was under the stand (ing). :)
