Steph H Poem
Would it bother you to know?
That I write about you everyday
About angsty feelings that I wont let go
About things I’d never be brave enough to say
Would it bother you to know?
That I have books filled with prose
Ones that are so filled with emotions they glow.
Like a giant emotional buffet.
Would it bother you to know?
That you unknowingly toss my heart around like a football play.
And my emotions painted out are like a Vincent Van Gogh.
That you make my eyes light up like a Texas independence day.
Would it bother you to know?

Steph H Poem
I am loud
I am calm
I am nothing
I am everything
I am underground
Loud metallic grunge
I am mainstream
Soft up beat fun
I am classic
Strings emotions sung
I am lost
I am found
I am created
I am sound

Steph H Poem
I didn’t aim to seem
So heartlessly so mean
But you have to try and understand
That when you’ve been hurt so often by a man
You find it hard to sit and trust
That something could be more than just lust
You have to deal with me and try to accept
As I try to deal with the way you just crept
Your way into this heart of mine
With an unfortunate lack of time
Between the wrecking blasts
The ones that seem to lambaste
My very recognition of existence
Can’t you see why I keep my distance?
It’s not you, but it’s not me either.
(Though I do grow so weary of always taking a breather.)
It’s just all these men, no, boys.
The one who act like children with new toys.
Something’s just great when it’s shiny and filled with glory.
But as it dulls with time it grows boring.
And they throw them away like three-day-old bread.
And no objection is ever to be said.
So you have to understand why I retreat with such objection.
I just can’t handle one more delayed rejection.

Steph H Poem
When I fall, you laugh.
I know you do, I hear it.
You and your friends you think you're so calm so cool.
Just cause I'm different, I'm a loser to you.
But I'm better than that.
When you fall, I'll help you up.

Steph H Poem
Never met you
never saw you face to face
never touched you
yet I long for your embrace
I want you to hold me
and tell me all your dreams
I want you to love me
and make it as real as it seems

Steph H Poem
Is it as odd to you?
That just moments before you.
I would have laughed at your ideals.
Scoffed at the way you feel.
A religion I could never bring myself to believe in.
To busy trying to ignore my heart covered in sin.
Doesn’t it bother you?
That I’m not as sure as you.
Of this perfect eternal promise.
To busy being promiscuous.
I was too afraid to believe in what would condemn me.
Too stubborn to change the behaviors that stood out like a marquee.
Isn’t odd to you?
That we seem to be stuck like glue.
When we’re farther apart than anyone could be.
Even if you say, you understand, that you forgive me.

Steph H Poem
Meetings that seem so few and far between,
Indefinite dates, incomplete plans.
Lost and broken promises, where the truth is never what it seems.
Endless conversations that are merely keyboards and hands.
Soulless hollow smiles in pictures that will never seem complete.

Steph H Poem
Friend
My love
My only
Where do I start?
How could I tell you?
How much you mean to me
That you are the only one
That I will ever care about
That I will devote my whole life to.
Mon petite copain, now and forever.

Steph H Poem
I kissed him in the sunlight
On the old brick wall
while a cold wind blew in
Traces of the coming fall
As he breathed out and smiled at me
I turned and blushed shyly
This is our secret romance
Our hidden tryst
Full of tales and half truths
White lies you get the jist
But our love is strong enough
It doesn't matter what they say
At least that's what we hope and pray
He smiled as the twinkle
Slowly left his eyes
He held my hand gently
Theses secrets will be our demise

Steph H Poem
I like, who I am
Any time, that I am
Around you
And I like who you are
Anytime that you are
Around me
I like how I know
That I don’t have to be
Apart of any show
When you’re around me
I like how I know
That I’ll never have to change
Not to fast, take this slow.
It’ll never be strange
For the two of us to let it show
Because I can be myself around you
You’ll never quite understand
How this makes me feel
I’ll stand there with you
Proud you’re my man
And I will wait so we know
So we can show that this is real
I don’t like how I am
Anytime that I am
Around them
It feels like a big lie
Anytime just another lie
When I’m around them
I don’t like
How I never know
Who to be
How it’s all a fictitious show
When you’re around me
I like how I know
That I’ll never have to change
Not to fast, take this slow.
It’ll never be strange
For the two of us to let it show
Because I can be myself around you
You’ll never quite understand
How this makes me feel
I’ll stand there with you
Proud you’re my man
And I will wait so we know
So we can show that this is real
