Isn'T It Odd?
Is it as odd to you?
That just moments before you.
I would have laughed at your ideals.
Scoffed at the way you feel.
A religion I could never bring myself to believe in.
To busy trying to ignore my heart covered in sin.
Doesn’t it bother you?
That I’m not as sure as you.
Of this perfect eternal promise.
To busy being promiscuous.
I was too afraid to believe in what would condemn me.
Too stubborn to change the behaviors that stood out like a marquee.
Isn’t odd to you?
That we seem to be stuck like glue.
When we’re farther apart than anyone could be.
Even if you say, you understand, that you forgive me.
