Wedding Anniversary

Wedding Anniversary

        On fiftieth Wedding Anniversary
Couple booked a lovely suite in hurry.
Full Moon is seen to glow
               through the nice wide window.
Couple fought lot making wife angry.

     Upset husband called Hotel Manager
‘Come soon, sharp, I need help my brother.
                  My wife wants to throw
                  herself through window.
She is furious on my behavior.’

Polite Manager told ‘Even it turns fatal,
I cannot interfere, matter is marital.
                Try to solve yourself
                  I can never help.
Hotel will just watch staying impartial'.

     Husband shouted ‘Sole responsibility
must go instant to Hotel Authority.
               Maintenance problem,
                   not marital, I claim.
Open the stuck window, it is priority.

My Country India

MY COUNTRY INDIA

INDIA : My motherland shines as poem.
My Pride : My Glory : My Peace: My Bliss : I claim.

           Traditional culture since ancient age
owes to peace and love as holy heritage.

            Never to overpower other race.
Met on non-violence staying in grace.

          Power-loving intruders bowed to serenity.
Mingled merged in unity for tranquility.

              Great India believes in integrity.
‘Service above self’ : Her priority.

Secular country to respect each Nation
              accepting ‘’ Humanity’ ‘ as religion .

               Tricolor National Flag to exhibit
Saffron, White, Green with Blue wheel on strip white.

Saffron stands for Self-esteem and Sacrifice.
White to show Truth, Purity and Perfect Peace.

Green with Courage, Vigor and Fertility.
Spikes of wheel on symbols of Activity.

Twenty- four spikes represent twenty- four hours work.
Ceaseless labor devoted on honest walk.

              Universal Morals sparkle in glory
India presents peace - loving history.

Little Red Riding Hood Went Into the Woods

Little Red Riding Hood went into the woods

                        Little Red Riding Hood
                       left for nearby Pine Wood
to meet her Dear Grand mom
whom she loves from her bosom.

Little angel, little fairy wore red dress.
Pet Micky Mouse put red hat to impress.
Quack duck put on red shoes on webbed feet.
Three were out for Grandmother to meet.

On her way she met a wolf in white dress
wearing woolly shoes with white lace.
                  Wonderful wolf named Wow-Wow
nodded its head and made bow.

Wolf was driving an old vintage car
shown in a movie that won prize Oscar.
Wow-Wow said ‘Wait just a minute.
I can give all of you a quick lift.’

So she boarded the car with each pet.
Wow-Wow drove car to the gate
of the wood house of Grandmother
                  waiting eagerly for her Granddaughter.

Grandma wore white blouse with red border
on red skirt with prints of white flower.
She sat on soft red sofa cum bed.
Her socks were white and shoes red.

Micky played guitar, Quack nicely sang.
White balloons, red ribbons Wow-Wow hang.
              Wow-Wow became friend so helpful.
Wild wolf can also be wonderful.

Little fairy, little angel is my Granddaughter
She plays with toy pets and is busy to chatter.
I meet her on Skype every Sunday
My little Red Riding Hood jubilant and gay.

Autumn

Autumn

                 Welcome!
                  Chrysanthemum
          Cosmos cockscomb hypericum
Let all my sweet memories come
              ‘Autumn’!

                  Pears!
   Sweet juice luscious
   Fruits are delicious
   Apples elderberries and plums
        ‘Cheers’!

         Harvest
    Season is best
   Squash carrots courgette
   Cauliflower to cultivate
        ‘Request’!

         Blue sky
        Dry clouds fly
      Hot summer bade bye
Open outdoor romance now to try
              ‘You- I’!

Raindrops

RAINDROPS

        Small
                  raindrops
                                 drizzling from
                                                     cluster of cloud
                    holding deep dolor
                                                      releasing pain
                                  moistening
                   grass in

My Room of Life

MY ROOM OF LIFE

        Devotion, Diligence, Activity and Competence
form the building materials to construct my room of Life.
Need, Duty, Honesty and Truth act as enclosures.
Inspiration, Ambition and Achievement are the open windows.
        Self- Control finishes the floor.
Open Terrace is made of Love and Dream.
        Destiny is the Glass- Ceiling.
Emotion and Passion have done painting
Frustration is the door to escape.

Lunar

Lunar
                                           Anisha Dutta

Full Moon closest to Fall is termed ‘Harvest Moon’
That’s the seasonal time to harvest
Next Full Moon the ‘Hunter’s Moon’ comes very soon
To go for hunting is the best.

 In respective orbital path
On certain Full Moon night
Sun-Moon in-between Earth
Come in a line, just right.

 Sun-Moon-Earth paired together
 When come in perfect alignment
Lunar Eclipse will occur
Technical term ‘SYZGY’ has been set.

Under thinner-most shadow of Earth if Moon slips
Eclipse is known to be Pen-Umbral
If partially shadowed, it’s Partial Eclipse
Fully shadowed Eclipse is called Total.

Total Lunar Eclipse, now being called ‘Blood Moon’
As the eclipsed moon is not dull or dark losing glamor
But exhibits rusty red-hue glow looking boon
Sun-spectrum through atmosphere display reddish color

If the Harvest Moon shows Blood Moon at perigee
The closest position of Moon to Earth
One tenth larger and thirty percent brighter to see
Spectacular ‘Super Moon’ most worth.

If consecutive four ‘Blood Moon’ appeared
Rare occasions of lunar performance
The event is known as ‘Lunar Tetrad’
In between eclipse to come has no chance.

Watching ‘Super Moon’ I felt lucky
 Then, have I gone lunatic?
Enjoying marvelous cosmos beauty?
No, I am just romantic.

Autumn Haiku

Autumn Haiku

                    Deciduous trees
   shedding withered yellow leaves
      as autumn proceeds.

              Azure sky nicest.
   Full Moon reminds to harvest
      mellow pumpkins best.

Thanks 2015

Thanks for 2015

Year Two Thousand Fifteen appeared phenomenal
bestowing new meaning in life on novel arrival
of my granddaughter Arianna to draw
God's blessing to my daughter and son-in-law.

Daughter of my heart received me on June morning
in the airport with her pretty daughter smiling
on her lap, the cute little angel
giggling like ringing of jingle bell.

I glanced, enchanted and stretched hands to her.
She just plunged on me as if too familiar.
So-long forgotten reminiscences brought me shower of charms
I felt as if daughter of my heart returned back to my arms.

Thanks to the year Two Thousand Fifteen
for great reward of granddaughter to win.
I am overwhelmed to be a grand parent
to watch a bud to bloom in beauty and scent.

Two Lenses

Two Lenses

While studying Masters in my teens
also in service in early twenties
                 I was prompt and ready
to catch the train in hurry
jumping from platform crossing rail lines

Now I have turned senior citizen
and always choose to avoid train.
         If go on compulsion,
          over bridge is solution,
also by slow walk without strain
