Times Like These

Its times like these that I wish I could fly,

Over the heavens,
But underneath the sky,
I could watch the world float bye,
And you're the most beautiful thing that caught my eye,
Your face was glimmering like the sea at night,
Then with all my might I came down in front of the one I loved,
You turned your head and I fell deeper into thought,
The mother of my children I saw,
My heart on my sleeve and my head held high,
I ask you beautiful lady,
Will you be my bride?
It's times like these that would make a grown man cry,
A time in his life with someone by his side,
The stars are the limit between you and I,
Please say you'll be mine and I will hold you high,
It's times like these when I thank god I'm alive.

Joe

When you left you said,
you didn't wanna see me cry,
when I was growing up I had no man by my side,
to teach me how to play ball or fight or think twice about anything I do in my life,
You left a hole in my heart aswell as in my mind,
so many questions left unanswered,
Why did you leave?,
Why me?,
I'm just like you, but why didn't you wanna see?,
How come I didn't get a card on my birthday?,
Or a phone call?,
Were you busy?,
for 21 years in a row?,
You might have loved me,
but now you will never know,
so, thank you Joe,
you did teach me a few things,
you taught me real men are good fathers,
you taught me to believe in myself, because you didn't bother,
you taught me no matter what I could never be like you,
a coward.

5 Senses

It seems like forever now since you've been away,

The emptiness in my eyes says it everyday,
I cant take this pain so drowned my sorrows,

And now that I'm alone I feel thick and hollow,

My life is at its end and I'll be gone tomorrow,

All I can see is broken promises,

All I can hear is the thoughts of me gone,

When it's all said and done I'll leave again, leave again,

Since my life's over now I don't need a friend,

All I can feel is the wind of an empty room,

All I can taste is the bitterness of loneliness,

My frustrations weren't enough to drive me down,

But since I'm sitting here I guess ill stick around,

All I can smell is the fear I have, the fear I have,

All that I know is that I'm alone

The Missing

Time drags on,
another day gone,
another plane crashed,
another dead laugh,
and yet there is more missing,
missing in time,
in life,
in dreams,
It seems like perhaps I am the one who is missing,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my ambition,
my mission to be happy in what I do,
I will live an go another day and miss another note,
and tie another lace,
and ride untill I choke,
I will be missing untill the time calls me back,
to relax, and perhaps reveal that I was kidnapped,
not missing just snatched from the life I wanted,
but untill then I am the missing.
