Mandar Naik Poem
Perhaps is the word
Perhaps is what i wish to hear..
When after a long walk,
You will sit at the corner of life,
And look back to see,
Perhaps your eyes will search for me...
And i will wave my hand
From where i had been waiting for so long.
Perhaps you will ask me
To come a few steps with you
And i will count the steps
To reach you gladly.
Perhaps you will ask how i had been
And i will return a smile
The same you have seen.
Perhaps you will notice my eyes filled,
But then you will keep your lips sealed.
Perhaps you will extend your hand
And all those years will slip like sand,
From your hands into my hands
I will add then my dried dreams to it,
Some passed memories and crisped wishes a bit.
Perhaps by then they too will have
Perfumed smell like me.
Perhaps you will smile and look at me,
"You haven't changed", you will say with spree
Perhaps we will walk a few more distance,
This time firmly holding our future.
Perhaps that small walk would be perfect
Perhaps that wait would be worth it
Only perhaps you would say that
"Perhaps one day we would walk together."

Mandar Naik Poem
And the solace yet remains
hidden between untamed spaces
of memories bygone..
Like countless sand grains
of time slipping off my fingers,
becoming one with the ground..
One hurricane and all gone
And all gone...
Where to look for? Where to search?
How to measure what has disappeared?
Silences of our last words
and cries of my muted soul,
your mindless footprints
vanishing at the hopeless shore,
pair of careless laughs,
keys for peaceful dreams,
worn out pasts and ironed days,
your smiles, some hopes, few rays..
Misunderstood far to navigate,
with a sigh, I put anchor at last
Where to flow? where to go
with the broken tired mast?
Now let the age, ripened
with wisdom and sourness
sunk that all deep
with the past to harness..
Till then everything is floating,
like an unclaimed baggage..
Though heart still heavy
and caught in the cage.
Masked face with disguised fate,
standing, mocking peace
and frowning with rage
here at the shore I still wait.

Mandar Naik Poem
Time has changed, you see!
Now minds are stronger and hearts are free and weeds grow fearlessly
In the ruthless world of hegemony, money fornicates with power
and breeds shameless children of impurity
To believe in God is a myth and the belief itself is a rootless tree
Judgments are foul and outcomes of fear or rather careless mean
Every beginning is an end to something and each ending remains foolishly hoping
to begin the end of their sufferings... to begin a new ending...
But the truth remains unchanged that the endings end
in their own misery giving birth to dead beginning
Now the guilt is murdered ruthlessly on the graves of their buried conscious
and in the same mud they are hoping to grow one day flowers of longed wishes
Trust itself is betrayed by the vulgar minds soaked in vanity
where the mirrors show only reflections of infidelity
Time has changed , really

Mandar Naik Poem
Start UNSUPPORTED CODE UNSUPPORTED CODE
Life is a dream,
A senseless ray fallen apart,
Like a light's casual beam...
We live, we see, we hope, We sense
what is surreal,
And perhaps what is not
Things bundled, rebundled through out..
Untouched by the soul..
And when with the last breath
Soul awakens,
It rises to start a new journey,
A new life ..as lite as a feather,
Leaving behind all together,
It travels to those unknown places,
Across the horizons without time bounds, A
And when it is contend and tired,
And looks for a rest,
It finds another birth as its nest..
With the first cry of the baby,
Soul cuddles into sleep,
Wakes up only when one rests in peace.
End UNSUPPORTED CODE UNSUPPORTED CODE

Mandar Naik Poem
Enough of careless mum,
Enough of unsighted, brutal pun,
Enough of our stomachs full of patience,
Are we not yet done gulping overdosed silence?
We have belched out ignorance,
We have digested even disgrace.
Now our appetite is full... with frustration, with anger.
At least now let's wash our corrupted hands,
Let's tidy up our democratic apparels,
Let's stand straight with broken dignity,
Let's not eat more shame,
Let's fast.

Mandar Naik Poem
On the way back home, they crossed each other,
For an instance, over the broken bridge
With those wrinkled smiles and tiny eyes
Giving a look familiar, at the ridge
It was a feeling of known, crossing pass by
A shadow which follows both the souls
A tear which has flown for near and dears,
Shared by the heart, now wet and shallow
Gone the years when around them,
Crowd gathered and played flutes of relishing
Now there is mob of memories outside the door,
Knocking each night to post the remaining
Birds have left the uncanny nests,
Flowers have withered and gone the rains,
Now under the parched trees remained,
A walking stick, a chair and broken specs
When they turned around to see each other,
Tiny, fragile figures walking down the rough edge
They thought each to themselves with sorrowed eyes,
Till when we have to walk down alone the path of old age

Mandar Naik Poem
Without a whisper, without a hiss, you disappear,
Disappear in the mists. No shadows, no footprints,
Only slimy sticky lies, oozing out of dark from the slits…
Search begins within, deep inside in the corners of words,
Burning fears, raging soul, dusk of worlds
Shattering mind, throwing, blaming each quote,
Blaming each slithering drop, falling from the eyes
Cursing, shaming love, so naïve and so wise…
But felon love spoils it again,
Yet again throws a dime of faith for sake
And pity frail heart follows.
Follows the spark, the petite ray, of hope, of another chance
And another birth to a new mistake.
And another labyrinth or twisted tale.
Tale of trapped, thumping heart, passionate soul, poisoned mind,
Finds the place left behind, finds a way to run behind,
Till I hear you whisper again.
Whisper again in my ear the same songs and talks in vain,
Same old endless talks and dreams bygone,
And bygone silences since you left.

Mandar Naik Poem
Burn burn day by day,
Sleepless nights too swayed away..
Mocked faces and faked smiles,
Broken heart, mind fragile..
Pretentious walls of being alive,
Flags of compromise waving high
But somewhere to the soul's soul
This secret is well known,
That when the time comes
Phoenix shall rise...
From his own ashes to survive..
Flapping the wings of fire,
Raising his head high,
Taking a swing with fearless swirl
Looking at the timid small world
Phoenix shall rise again..
Phoenix shall survive,
Till he meets his vicious fate
To ask the questions,
To erase the ominous slate,
To burn the skies
And heavens and earth
To remind them the ashes
Of unfortunate bygone..
Phoenix shall rise again..
Phoenix shall survive...

Mandar Naik Poem
Last night I saw ghost of my love
It stood in the window, looking above.
It looked pale, tired and in despair,
as if it had just arrived from a crowded fair.
I was scared to see its darkest eyes,
still hoping to give it one more rise.
Its deep buried smell of past,
made me feel disturbed and aghast.
It pleaded me for a single sight,
to remember those days, tears and fight.
That endless waiting, those arms and songs to sing
Those rains, those touches, don’t you remember anything?
I said I have buried what all has gone
Those dreams withered, leaving me alone.
On the grounds of dried tears, I have sown phony smiles,
guarding them from looming reminiscences reverting from long miles.
When you were alive, I had lived too merrily
Each day was bliss and slept dreamily.
Never knew you will leave me midway,
in the dark caves of sorrows without any ray.
I have managed to come over those mystic chants,
Which led me again & again into vicious rants.
It was a long way & it is foregone
Now I do not wish to remember & bemoan.
You go again into the deepest of my heart,
never to revert again, never again to mar.
Never again scare me, never again rise.
I have given everything I had now to become empty & wise.
The Ghost looked at me proudly with a beaming smile,
embracing my wet heart, waning in a while.
Said it, it will never ever reoccur from the depths
and sleep a long dream with eyes wept.
It disappeared from the window, I stood for a while.
paying homage to my dead love & memories of time.
Then came the rains to wet my mind
It washed away my past, sowing seeds of hope behind.

Mandar Naik Poem
Somewhere deep inside me, grew unknowingly a tiny love seed
I do not recollect how long it stayed within me, without any heed
It made me restless; it made me delight with its cute petite feet
No wonder why my heart failed to count its faster growing beat
I shall now not bare any heavy old reminiscences
Neither shall I now allowed to dream out of fences
I shall not climb up and down the ladder of hopes
I should not even take now bumpy paths of content loops
When it will grow out of me and become one of me
I will touch the sky and stop the wind to let the whole world see
Haven’t I always believed in my unsorted dreams?
Haven’t I told you that one day it will beam?
My restless mind tried though enough attempts to wake me up
To let me know, to understand that I have dreamt enough
The seed which is growing inside has no name, no future
No one to accept it, no identity and no one care taker
How foolish of me, I did not think what would happen later
When this tiny seed will grow and make my heart lighter
In the world where one sided love has no single stand
And where one stands alone with shaky praying hand
Oh! My love I can not give you pain to survive later
I am unable to give you life, that I afraid to suffer further
It is the time when I abort you inside my heart
You die peacefully within me and let me be alive!
