I Will

Don't be afraid
You are safe here
You can stop and take a deep breath
The finish line is near

I know you've been running
A long time now
Do not take another step
Without listening to my vow

Every tear you cry
I will absorb them all
I will carry them for you
Until the Lord comes to call

Every life challenge you may face
I will lovingly hold your hand
I will stand tall beside you
Until my legs become so weak that I no longer can

If fear or doubt ever creeps
Into your mind
I promise to love you even harder
Until peace and comfort you find

If you are ever feeling sad
And a smile is hard to find
I will feed your spirit with humor
until laughter heals your mind

If you become sick or years
cause your body to grow ill
I will pray at your bedside
until I can no longer kneel

And When your voice grows old
and age takes over the man
When songs become harder to sing
I'll still be your biggest fan

So come here baby
In your arms is where I belong
You are safe now
Your soul has found its way home

Too Far Is No Such Place

Miles separate the physical bodies
that our hearts call home
But the distance between us
is just a big playground for our souls to roam

The sun is the spotlight
illuminating what we cannot see
The Rays piercing the body
letting the feelings run free

The moon and stars are the map
that the spirit uses for it's guide
The mountain tops are just stepping stones
for this dreamers ride

The trees used to steady us
to keep us on our feet
The rivers are just rest stops
for our souls to drink or eat

This feeling knows no boundaries
there is no place too far
Your whispers echo thru the clouds
and bounce off every star

Calling for me, tugging at me
all throughout the night
Reaching into my dreams
pulling me in so tight

These feelings transcend throughout
the time and override the space
When the souls long to be together
too far is no such place
