Your Lips

They tempt me,
Oh so subtly.
Sultry, full
Dripping with seduction,
Oh how the temptation
rids any reservations
And steals my breath
When I come close.
Connecting our souls,
Finally!
When they touch,
Your passion against mine,
intertwining, needing
Gentle and rough
Pleasure and pain.
Oh your lips,
The things they could do to me.

Forget

One day, you said
I would forget
Move on
Live my life
Love harder.
How could I do that?
My dear, you are
Awfully incorrect in your assumption.
For how could I
Not dream about those eyes,
That laugh
Your smile.
How could I
Not crave your presence,
Your kiss, your touch, your warmth.
How could I
Not miss home
Your sarcasm
Your acceptance.
How could I
Forget my stupidity
My happiness
The pain.
How can I
Not feel the hole left
The loneliness
The unrequited love
The ghost hands that hold me
The dreams that haunt me
The thoughts that harm me.

Never would I forget
Your existence
Your eyes
Your stubbornness
The life I wanted
With you
Only you.

Do not tell me to forget, my love.
For you are
My love
My one
My soul,
Even if I will never be yours.

Crave

Your golden brown eyes
Tell me more than words ever will.
The want, the need, the lust
Do you feel it too?
Magnetism of epic proportions,
Even the strongest can't ignore.
Can I steal it?
Your lips, those sultry lips?
Your calloused hands,
How would they feel on my soft skin?
Can I steal that blue fire kiss,
And keep it on my lips?
The kiss, exchanged by the eyes
So many times.
Can I end it, the torture?
Can we give in, even once,
And see where our passion takes us?
I crave you,
Every night, every day, every second...
The one I can't have.

Need

I crave your lips
I have yet to kiss.
The touch
I have yet to feel.
The fingertips
That have yet to wander.
The tongue
That has yet to taste.
The weight of you
That has yet to crush me.
The look in your eyes,
When you give yourself completely.
I crave you
The one I have yet to have.

I Wonder

When you wake up,
What do you think of?
Is it her,
Or is it me?
When you laugh aloud,
Do you wish I were there?
Do you even think of me?
My mind is drawn to you,
Irresistibly, you.
Every laugh, every cry,
Every dull,
Every exciting moment,
I want you to see.

I wonder.........
Do you think of me?

Care For It

My love has taken my soul
Far away from my being
Present only in him
Forevermore.
Some days,
I remember
And others I forget
What was
What could have been
Who I was
And who I am.
To love again,
I try so hard.
But I am only left
With half a heart,
Black, burned, and scarred.
A hole for a soul
Endless yearning.
That is no way to love
Or live,
So my dear,
Take the rest.
It is yours to keep
And care for,
For no longer do I want
This half a heart.

Scars

Have you ever cut a tree down
and counted its rings?
Or maybe traced the rugged ravines
in its bark?
Trees are so open,
their history for everyone to see.
The rings show its years,
so do scars.
If you trace the rugged bark,
would you too trace the rugged, engraved skin?
Could you understand that
a history is shown?
A dark, somber history,
with stories told only by the number of rings,
or rugged ravines like the bark of a tree.

Do You

So many words in need of escape.
So many feelings in need of a place.

Love, hate, lust, passion, need
Starvation, desire, sadness, rejection
Hope, hopeless, loveless, passionless.

You are the day to my night
The sunshine to my moon
The hope to my hopeless
The passion to my passionless
The need to my want.

Do you even know it?

In Death

I am sorry I fell so hard,
only to hit the pavement at your feet
and have you pick me back up out of convenience.
I am sorry I would have dropped everything,
come running, at your word,
only to have you fall silent.
Oh how much I love you,
your very being, every breath you take.
Only in death would you love me...
only in death would I forget to love you.

Warmth

Only you have the ability,
To melt my soul.
As battered and torn
And scarred as I may be,
You melt the icy protection
I have built, brick by icy brick,
Around my self, my true self.
Your arms are my solitude,
Your lips, the fire.
Your eyes, my home.
In this hotter and frozen reality,
You, and only you, are my warmth.
