Enjoy Every Moment

In the beginning there was only joy
Friends laughing and playing
Every new day to enjoy
You know what I’m saying

Life was good, sunshine everyday
Even when it was raining
The sun was only seconds away
So it was just waiting

One day, I waited and waited
But the sun did not return
It remained silent and shaded
There was a lesson I had to learn

All good times come to an end
We might try and stop it
But we can’t endlessly bend
You might end up taking a hit

So enjoy all things while you can
You never know when it will end
When crap finally hits the fan
And it’s all impossible to mend

Self-Respect

When you have given all and it’s still not enough
Ripping, Taking, Consuming everything
Leaving your heart bruised, pained, aching
Your mind a whirlwind of emotions
Confusion building, the tears won’t stop
When is it time to choose for yourself?
To calm your mind and take a direction
A direction without the pain, but a missing and longing
All consuming on its own
Eventually that will fade too
And through the fog, rain, and thunder
All what is left is self-respect
Can I live with that?
Yes, I can

The Flower That Survived

There once was a flower
Blooming beautifully and happily
Brilliant and mighty
Just the sight alone, brought a smile

One day, when I looked
The flower lost its petals
Lost its brilliancy and power
The sight was all crooked

I tried watering more
Offering more sunshine
But no matter what I did
It was all in vain

Then one day, a thought hit me
I took the flower
Placed it somewhere else
And waited

To my surprise
The flower showed hints of curiosity
It started blooming
Lifting her petals in hopes

Miraculously within a few days
The flower was blooming again
As if nothing happened
Strong and more brilliant than before

Confused Mind

Words cannot describe whats in my mind
I try to grab and catch it but nothing stays behind
I open my mouth but nothing comes out
Not even a single thought to say out loud
Wish things were as simple as reading a book
Knowing exactly for what to look
But my mind is black as the night
Just close my eyes and give up the fight

Life Is Like a Maypole

Life is like a Maypole

I close my eyes and keep on turning
The sun out shining and burning
Getting hit by the yellow rays
During those warm colorful days

The smell of the fresh green grass
There is no better time pass
Being young, free and careless
Roaming the world fearless

Opening my eyes to a bright blue sky
See the birds flying high
White clouds moving in silence
Everything in perfect balance

Letting go of the balloon in my hand
Going up like something grand
Till nothing but a red dot appears
Leaving for different spheres

Feeling my lips curl into a smile
Thinking back once in a while
My heart warming and longing
Going back and prolonging

Hope For Happiness

Happiness
We long for it, we crave it
So badly, we don’t know what’s right anymore

Blind to all the signs, deaf for all the words
Staring blindly into nothingness
Feeling desperate for hope
Looking for a sparkle in the dark

Making me whole again
Smile again , laugh again
Myself again

Lost Home

There is a saying, many ways that lead to Rome
But I can’t even find a decent map
It’s like standing lost and blind in the woods
Sticking out my hands in hopes of grabbing a branch

When I grab that branch, I hang on to it for life
But the branch snaps, leaving me empty again
Trying to focus on a shimmering light in the far distance
Not sure it’s something, I walk to it frantically

Don’t want to be in these woods alone any longer
I start walking fast, falling, get up and run faster
When I come closer, there is a small inviting cabin
With a light, a warmth, a smell that feels like home
