Two Doves
Together they soared, Two Doves, On a mutual flight
Through the most exquisite of days, And calmest of nights
Over mountain peaks, They rise, Not a care in the world
Entwined in a journey, Just as stormy winds whirled
A flight once indivisible, Now headed in indvidual directions
Together they once soared, Now isolated from affection
Animals of companionship, Looking for a partner in flight
While one may find another, The other is still searching for light
A desolate journey, Looking for the lost love throught the night
Together they soared, One must pray someday they re-unite
With a heart full of hope, Desperation, It's never too late
The lonely Dove continuously seeks to reconvene with it's soulmate
A Lonesome animal of companionship, Will never feel right

I Promise That I Try
An unremitting struggle that imprisons me within
Constantly trying to juggle between morality and sin
Change my perception and try to transform my ways
Head in a direction that will lead me to better days
I attempt with all my heart but it conflicts with all my passion
If given a chance to restart there is a great deal that wouldn't happen
I make a point to be positive but always seem to regress
Insecurities must be a causative that created all my stress
I can no longer find the words to say, but I must apologize
A relentless attempt to change my ways, I Promise That I Try

I take a step and look around, not a soul in sight,
Silence has become the only sound to bless this lonely night,
The farther I travel along this path I pray to hear a voice,
To grant me release from the wrath of every heinous choice,
A journey I was forced to take, one that I must never forget,
Can't live knowing every mistake and can't leave with a single regret,
Find it hard to seek relief, always envoloped in stress,
If I ever get a chance to sleep, I just wake up in cold sweats,
Feeling insular, desolated, isolated, and deserted,
Walking this path all by my lonesome, maybe I deserve it ?
Take a glance behind me, to my surprise, not a single footprint,
Has this all been a mirage, or a sign, maybe I should sprint ?
Is there even any point ? is my only motivation desperation ?
Shall I continue down this path without the slightest hesitation?

Is anyone out there, or must I just pretend?
Is it too much to ask for me to control fate?
I sit up and wonder, when will this journey end?
Searching for my bestfriend, pursuing my soulmate,
I hope your heart is something I'm able to locate,
Until that day, I'll just sit up with patience,
Anticipating your love, reminded of this cadence

That Black Cloud
As my eyes first open, the first thing that i see,
Not a ray of light in sight, this black cloud follows me,
I wipe the sleep from me eyes, and try to get my day going,
But that black cloud makes it hard, to keep the tears from flowing,
I think if i go back to sleep, maybe it will drown my misery,
Simply try to hide my thoughts, But that black clouds always listening,
So i clean myself up, get going on my alienated campaign,
Try to think of happy thoughts, Can't come up with a damn thing,
That black cloud still follows, staring me down every turn,
There is no escaping it, it seems i never learn,
Before i even realize, the day is almost done,
Only a few blinks of my eyes, since it has begun,
That black cloud is just eating my time, has become so abusive,
Then i wonder why i sit up sleepless feeling so reclusive,
As i rest my eyes shut at night, the last thing that i see,
Not a star in the sky, this black cloud follows me
