Mikayla Mitts Poem
Rolling on the tracks
Faster than the eye can see
Heading somewhere
A place where we can be free
We have no time to waste
Soon they’ll be looking for us
Going town to town
If they don’t find us, they’ll have a fuss
Riding in the cars
Being quiet as we can be
Waiting for the next stop
We’ll all be ready to be free
Were happy to be alive
To be able to escape the fears
Knowing that we were dying slowly
Crying all those tears
Being beaten to the inch of our lives
For doing what we were told
Our lives being torn apart
Like a pair of pants unfold
Pouring out of the train
Heading to the outskirts of town
Getting away from all of the commotion
All of the smiles turn into frowns
Now we are really happy
As happy as we will ever be
Heading somewhere
A place where we can be free

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Walking along the road
Pushing the metal cart
Having to be in a useless life mode
I am a hobo with a broken heart
Finding new things everywhere
Picking up random things and putting them in my cart
I even found a new pair of underwear
I told my wife that we would never be apart
I am an uncleaned man
I remember the times when I took a shower
And going to the living room to sit in front of the fan
I sat there for an hour
Thinking about the old times
And the new times too
Fighting all this nasty, stinky grime
Makes me feel blue
I think I should have stayed in school
Probably wouldn't be a hobo in this situation
Maybe I thought I was too cool
I should have filled out that application

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Hot long haired boys
Skating around town
Being the cool kids
Short haired boys
Walking around school
Always the cool kids
Young, dumb, and popular
All the cute guys
None that I could never get
Skating around town
Smoking joints and cigarettes
Acting like they are the cool kids

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Working from dusk to dawn
Going home worn out
All he wants to do is go to bed and sleep
But he has other things to do
Take a shower and eat
Watch a little television
Read the newspaper
Then he might go to bed
Sleep endlessly
Hear the alarm go off
Time to get up
Getting ready to go back to work
Working from dusk to dawn
…again…

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Walk in and walk out
It’s always the same
Kids fighting each other
It hit me one day
I was scared
Never knew who secretly waits for me
One hurtful, naughty word
It was all that it took
To easily hurt me or somebody else
Now I have no one
No one to be happy with or
Tell secrets that I wish to be kept
Only one important person
That loves me
He always stands beside me
I have one true friend
She is gone now
Disappeared from my life

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Go ahead
Whisper in my ear
Always trust me
You don’t need to fear
Tell me the simple words
As fast as you can
Get it out to me
I need to know man
You’re leaving me curious
Telling me simple statements
They’re not helping me any
I don’t think your making any sense
Gently rocking back and forth
Steadily on the hard ground
Waiting impatiently and…
Working with what I’ve found
Tell me the simple words
As fast as you can
Get it out to me
I need to know man

Mikayla Mitts Poem
You’re ugly
You’re mean
You’re stupid
You’re fat
You’re unattractive
You’re retarded
You’re a nerd
You’re geek
All I say is
I am just different

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Anger emotions everywhere
Just simple hated feelings
Getting the most out of us
Draining all of our energy
Short tempered emotions
No good for nothing
Risking our lives
Something that is not worth dying for
Tempered feelings inside
Working its way on the outside
Letting people see it
Feelings that we don’t want to show
Dragging your temper along your side
Wanting to get rid of that cloud
Mixed feelings all inside it
Risking their way slowly into you

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Let me tell you a poem
It won’t take long
I’ll only tell you this once
It’s about a boy named John
John lives in Georgia
He lives all alone
Always stealing stuff
To put in his one story home
He cries like a baby
All through the night
When he hears stuff in his closet
That gives him a fright
He stays in the house
Sleeps endlessly in bed
He rarely gets up
To even get a slice of bread
One cold snowy morning
John was found dead
He has died a good death
While sleeping in bed

Mikayla Mitts Poem
Dreaming past the fantasized world
Thinking of all unrealistic things
Unicorns with beautiful wings
Flying endlessly in the white, puffy clouds
Coming back in the realistic world
The place where I feel like I don’t belong
Wanting to go back to my unrealistic world
So wonderful that I lose all the pain that I am suffering in
Facing the unwishful truth of no fantasies
But in my world, I feel like they are realistic
Keep dreaming of those unrealistic creatures
In my wonderful, fantasy world
