Customer Service...I'M Still Waiting

I'm still waiting
How much time has elapsed
Think I'll read
While I'm waiting
I just read a chapter

I do believe my call is being answered
No, a voice on a machine echoes
"Your call will be taken in the order in which it was received"

Great
What number caller was I
Probably the 1000th caller
I'll touch up my manicure
While I'm waiting

I'm still waiting
Rats
I smudged my polish on one nail
Wonder If I have time to fix it
Before they break their necks to take my call

They must be averaging one call every ten minutes
I'll continue reading

Another chapter done
I'm still waiting

I Have a Right To Live

Hello Mommy
I'm growing inside of you
I wish you could see
my little hands
my little feet..... developing

I can hear your voice
It sounds troubled

Strange noises come from you
Is it the sound of tears

Shouldn't you be happy
I'm growing inside of you

Something is wrong
What are they doing to me

I'm growing inside of you
I have a right to live

Note: My personal feelings on abortion.

Dreams

The glistening stars
In the night time heavens
Can I wish upon one
Hoping my dreams come true

Forever love
Soul mates
Does it exist
Can two actually become one

Autumn Winds

The cool breeze lifts my spirits
Autumn winds so welcomed
Nature at it's best
Heartfelt wishes that it would endure
Leaves of crimson and gold
The sky of the deepest blue
Soon to pass
But I'll wait
For another season of Autumn winds

Granny

Odessa W. Connell
You never knew
But you were a source of strength
My admiration for you knew no depth
So hard working
Faithful to God
My mind wanders back to your rose garden
Beautiful beyond words
The fragrance
Intoxicating
You stood tall and proud
Divorcing, with six offspring needing you
At the time
Almost unheard of
Just over a year now
Since our heavenly father called you home
 Granny, I loved you
Now and then
May your sweet soul rest in peace

Dare To Breathe

Feeling lost
No hope in sight
Look up
To the glory of the mighty heaven
Give your weary soul to our father
He will set you free
Through him you will be reborn
Look up
Dare to breathe

Puzzle

The puzzle is scattered
Slowly, I connect the pieces
Little by little the picture is forming
Will it look the way I wish
I'm working on it
We shall see

Be Free

Why be content to live a mediocre life
Don't stifle yourself
Always pleasing others
in the end, we have only ourselves
Rushing, here and there
Some are afraid to look within
So content, or so it seems. with what life has presented them
But life didn't hand it on a silver platter
It was chosen
We make the decisions on our course
In the morning, off to work
Are you happy
Fullfilled
Do you say yes
When you really long to scream no
Are you the abiding child
Is your spouse your true love
Is it easier to just go through the motions of life
Instead of being faithful to you
One life we have
To be true to ourselves
Who we really are
Look deep, very deep within
Find the soul that longs to live in a world you can call your own
Learn about you
Be free

I Know My Destiny

A journey lies before me
Long and winding road
I cannot ignore what my heart cries

 I may stumble
Maybe even fall
But pick myself up I will
And continue on

My place, in this vast universe
Is to bring aid to others
So at peace
When I know I've helped

God travels with me
In him I trust
My dreams will come
I know my destiny

I Saw a Face

Knew that I wanted to
But not knowing what to expect
I looked at pictures
Angels needing help
Then I saw him
I saw a face
A darling named Nishantha
At once, this was meant to be
Two magical years later
I still sponsor this sweet boy
