Solid As Stone

The only sound one hears is the slight breeze of grainy sand whipping across the desert floor...
You kneel in the soft earth - but still...solid as stone you are...

With time and space in your favor you stare and ponder...
Laid behind is your once called home now lay in ruins...
Full of color so bright and fierce...

But now tattered and dull, hollow...
What could have been? And what could follow?
Shall you weep and wallow? Or shall you pull yourself up out of the depths?

You kneel in the soft earth- but still...solid as stone you are...

Sorrow and Pain

Sorrow & Pain

Our love was fresh
It was full of excitement & glee
But what has become of it?
but sorrow & pain...

A happy game of hid & seek
Of laughter & mystery
But what has become of it? But sorrow & pain...

The chaste but hidden kisses
The love and kindness in your eyes
But what has become of it?
But sorrow and pain...

Our intent was true & lovely
Absence really made our hearts grow fonder
But what has become of it?
But sorrow and pain...

Time Stands Still

My intent is clear...is yours...
Your eyes are as crystal...peering deep into the soul...
Your lips are like sweet honey on my mouth...
I savor every last morsel... until it is gone...

Whispers of love dance in my mind...
Gentle kisses cover my body...slowly but gingerly with great care...consumed by your touch...I am immobile...

My breath catches...ever so slightly...
Igniting a spark to my skin... I am on fire...for you...
Awareness flows in a wave of pleasure... As I feel every tingle your touch creates...

Time stands still... It is only you and I....
Lost in your wonder... never stopping...never going back...

Think of Me

Think of me

May you think of me when you lay your head at night...
May you think of me when you open your piercing
green eyes at daylight...
May you think of me when you brighten the world with your smile...

May you think of me holding you...holding me...
May you think of me in your dreams...wrapped in your love...
May you think of me when you peer at the rain falling...as I shower you with kisses...

May you think of me when I write from the heart for you and to you...
May you think of me... by your side...forever...

Midnight

Stray thoughts torture my mind...
Swirling, twirling as I gaze out the dark window into the Starless night...

I shudder and tremble as I am immobile by fright...

My eyes deceive me as they play tricks...
A wall of pitch black carpets the sky...
I am transfixed by the sight... Caught up in the plight...

I shudder and tremble as I am immobile by fright...

I am inundated by the sorrowful song it sings...
Winds blow and flow, pulling me deeper in...

I shudder and tremble...as I am immobile by fright...

The Journey

With wide eyes I stumble as I am pushed along by a fellow passenger…on the dusted covered roads… I whimper to myself…

The steam billows along the icy metal railroad tracks…

I arrive at this gigantic steaming monster that looms above my tiny body…I shudder as I am transfixed by the sight of it…It’s just a steam engine someone shouts… and I have no doubt… it is what he says… dark and brooding it stares down at me…

The steam billows along the icy metal railroad tracks…

As I plop down in the soot covered seat I think I glimpse a shadow in the dark night… I pull my eyes away from the sight for I am distracted by the sound of the horn blaring… I feel it piercing my ear drum just slightly…

The steam billows along the icy metal railroad tracks…

Holding tight to my bag I cringe as I hear loud footsteps approach my small cabin…The door swings open… “Ticket!”he screams…

The steam billows along the icy metal railroad tracks…

I scramble through my belongings as they are scattered on the dirty wooden planks… out of breath and with a shaky hand I reach forward and hand the large man my ticket…His icy stare lingers along my small hand with suspicion…

The steam billows along the icy metal railroad tracks…

Time stands still as my heart beats so fast…waiting for him… to take his leave… The steam billows along the icy metal railroad tracks…

Quenched

Caught in these thorns and thistles...
Yet... Delectable and delicious is your sweet breath...
I tire as I am on fire with thoughts of you...

Do you seek me as I seek you?
Ever quickly I thirst for more...
In a dreamlike state is where I am quenched...
Only by you... I am complete...

Unraveled chains plummet to the ground...
I am saved.... I rave...
Do you claim me as I claim you?
I yearn as I learn more...

Come back... With me to my dear sweet dream...
For in my dreams... is where I am quenched...

In the Darkness

In this darkness I fall…will you catch me?
Fear over takes me…surrounded by despair…
I am torn limb from limb… your face haunts me…
In the absence of noise there is only my heart beating… so fast...

I am truly afraid- so full of fear…

My body involuntary trembles…
I seek light…but there is none…
Panic overcomes me and I am a statue of stone…

I am truly afraid- so full of fear…

Wrapped in the embrace of evil consumes me…
Is there a chance of slight escape?
When I am pulled deep within the hollows of terror…
I weep and wallow, I shiver still…

I am truly afraid- so full of fear…

Magical Castle

I slightly stagger and stare up at the delicately decorated castle looming… in the bed of roses scattered among the tall grass…

Taking my hand gently he lightly tucks a fly away daisy behind my ear…
Hand in hand we slowly stroll up the cobblestone pathway toward the herd of laughter and music bursting at the seams…

My smile reaches my eyes as we immerse in the wondrous festivities…
I am lost in feel of the music and enchantment…that I almost miss the change in the scenery as he twirls and pulls me toward the dark shadows of the stone wall…

Where is the crystal clear lake that I peered… at our arrival?…

The scene is eerie…there is an element of danger… coming closer in the wind…

I look up into his piercing blue eyes and am cut short… His stare is of lust and desire and of determination…

Moving my long golden locks softly away from my long neck… he bestows a magical kiss… exquisite in itself…

His strong hands bring me closer… as I melt into his embrace… filled with love and contentment I stay still… captivated by him...

A Christmas Quest

Eyes open wide…heart beating fast…mind determined…
The quest is a go…putting all my weight on the balls of my feet…
I leap into the air…frozen in time…I tightly grip the rough pine needles… before falling… to my death…

Taking a long breath…I move swiftly through the tangled branches…
Dodging shiny round ornaments and striped candy canes…I extend my claws and swipe at the brightly lit Christmas lights… dangling in my face…

Whiskers twitching…I stretch my furry body toward the prize…
Standing alone…it beckons me…the light reflects the shimmer of color streaming through the crystal-like glass…

Ever so lightly I sniff it…musically purring I rub my soft head against its smooth surface…then…

Without warning I lose grip…and fall through sharp limbs…falling…still falling…to landing on my feet…

With despair in my eyes…I peer up toward the gigantic green tree…realization setting in…
“I have to start over”!
