Sorrow and Pain

Sorrow & Pain

Our love was fresh
It was full of excitement & glee
But what has become of it?
but sorrow & pain...

A happy game of hid & seek
Of laughter & mystery
But what has become of it? But sorrow & pain...

The chaste but hidden kisses
The love and kindness in your eyes
But what has become of it?
But sorrow and pain...

Our intent was true & lovely
Absence really made our hearts grow fonder
But what has become of it?
But sorrow and pain...

I'm glad this is from a few years ago. I hope love has been kinder since then. A lovely piece. A belated welcome to the soup.

Only tragedy can explain the sorrow and pain of lost love gain Megan. I know the song of this poem, and I love it despite the sadness. " Our intent was true and lovely..." that really speaks to my heart. J.A.B.

Liam, awe thank you. This one I wrote a few years ago when I was in a dark place. The words just poured out onto paper where they are at peace now.
