With help from above
He stood on both feet
One step
Then two steps
It wasn't that steep..
From here
To there
Is what
He cared about
The most
How far
How close..
He controls
His life on wheels
No one knows
How he feels..
Unlock your brakes
Put your feet down
Hold on tight
Stand up

People know
How to let go
Music playing
People swaying
To another day
In a poor man's paradise
There is no one
That you don't know
Even the hungry
Hobo
You help because
You don't know
When the day comes
You'll knock on his door
Have you been to
The ghetto
Sometimes scary
Sometimes fun
Sometimes you are
On the run
And when the day is done
You're glad
You're not the only one
In the ghetto
Music playing
People swaying
To another day
