You

If someone is going to love me, I want it to be You,
When life throws stones, I want to be with You,
When the day is long and the night is cold, I want to be with You,
When sadness suffocates and someone helps me breath, I want it to be You,
When I am bursting with happiness, I want to share it with You,
When someone brings me to my knees, I want it to be You,
When someone makes me feel better, I want it to be You,
When I am lonely, I find companionship with You,
When life writes its last page, I want the book to be about me and You,
If someone is going to love me I want it to be You.

If Love Was Easy

If love was easy
There would be no need to develop trust
Love would be drowned in lust,
Days would be long and,
Nights would be cold,
No one to take your hand as you grow old
Wedding vows would diminish
Families would be redefined
In a world inconsiderate of time
The love of parents and children are not exempt
Helping each other would not even be a worthy attempt
Without trails so much growth would be lost,
Loving with ease comes at such a great cost
So remember when your heart is bruised and sore,
If love was easy, there would be nothing to strive for.

Murmurings

The sounds of past faults
Hanging in the background of my mind
Moving through the atmosphere
Not concerned or even kind
What consumes ones consciousness
Others seem to not care
Always present even when forgiven
To much to bare
Attaching itself to the heart
Manifesting a dull pain
Lurking behind happiness
 Reviving the lucid stain
Murmurings are not even consistent
Stories change
Remnants linger
Memories fade
But scars deeply invade
Ones soul
Desperately trying to heal
From impolitic choices made
In the past that are reborn by
Impetuous murmurings

Noticed

I just want to be noticed
as life clouds perceptions
and days turn into confusion
when people get involved in a thought
the ones closest to them get lost
I scream from within
so quite the walls come near
the windows can count every tear
that falls beneath life's carpet
as I suppress the pain that connects
everyone that walks along a forsaken path
where trees seem decrepit
and the sky is a dark blue
the only one that can save me is you
as I wait alone in the night mist
I just want to be noticed
