Murmurings

The sounds of past faults Hanging in the background of my mind Moving through the atmosphere Not concerned or even kind What consumes ones consciousness Others seem to not care Always present even when forgiven To much to bare Attaching itself to the heart Manifesting a dull pain Lurking behind happiness Reviving the lucid stain Murmurings are not even consistent Stories change Remnants linger Memories fade But scars deeply invade Ones soul Desperately trying to heal From impolitic choices made In the past that are reborn by Impetuous murmurings
