Concrete Rose

Is it the rough thorns that make me rough

Or is it my roots that help me grow up

I’m a beautiful days flower

But a hard days work

Is it my reddish color

That makes me one of a kind

Or is it my greenish color,

From a lost child you are trying to defy

I’m a concrete rose

Brought up by love,

And raised by sorrows

Stumped down one day

But standing stronger tomorrow after tomorrow

Emotional Rollercoaster

It seems one day we friends, then again we were feeling each other in the beginning, but stopped the emotions cuss others were evolved so we parted ways and thought the problems was solved, but some issues we left unresolved and the heart can’t lie, it speaks the truth and once the problem is handles properly, obviously hearts will meet as one on one and some how, I still wonder what stopped us earlier from becoming closer. I guess I wasn’t in notice back then, but flowers grow into roses, and knowledge becomes more powerful, and the heart has become full with love for someone that is my other half in disguise and I despise all who hurt apart of me, and come between me and u making us we. Sometimes the truth hurts but it hurts so good, it feels like tough love from the hood, but how could two friends become as one when boundaries were made, should we stay or part ways…………..

I Survived/ You Helped

Education is the key to life when there’s no reason to be on the corner under street lights. My mind needs elevation to further my level of education and my perseverance to strive further for the best makes me different from the rest. When there’s nothing to do after high school, either be a leader or a fool, I’d rather be a educated sista’ then to just be known as cool. I see my generation struggle everyday because of the drama on top of the drama they make from their own mistakes, but today, for me, god has made a way. I know I can do, I have confidence in myself, but because I’m not perfect, family and friends are a big help. So when I go to school, and my family and friends watch me complete, and know that in life, I accomplished a lot in a leap, Ill know that there’s nothing I can’t defeat.
