Barbie Koerth Poem
Freedom
They gave us the
chance of freedom
They faught for all
of us
You, me, and even
themselves
Those men and
women never gave
up
Through the sweat,
tears and blood
They never gave up
Some lost their
lives
Some lost their
wives
Mothers and
fathers all over
grieved
Knowing what a
hero their child
is/was
This 4th of July
may you not forget
What they gave up
for you and for me
They must know
the appreciation
They gave us
Freedom
Let Freedom Ring

Barbie Koerth Poem
You sit there with a blank look on your face
I'm wondering what brought you to this place
In which you have allowed yourself to sink and dwindle into
I walk over to you and I put my arms around you
You shrug off the hug and push me away
I don't know how to get you to stay
You appear to be so happy
however I know the real you.
I know the pain and hurt within
I've seen it before my friend
Behind those blue eyes
Behind that smile
I see it
I see the pain
I see the hurt
I see the blame
I see the shame
We've all been there before
Just on opposite sides of the door
Sometimes we fall and we can't lift ourselves from the floor
For the pain is too much
I'm here always
I'm here yesterday
I'm here today
I will be here all the tomorrows
Don't go through this pain alone

Barbie Koerth Poem
I never asked for
this gift
It came to me.
Now its a perfect fit
I write sometimes
to escape
To escape the
realities of today.
My life is never
boring
For I have many
untold stories.
Come, sit for awhile
Let my imagination
take over
You will like what
you discover.
Nothing is of false
attitude
Just a lot of untold
truth.
My mind is chaotic
at times
I wouldn't trade it
for a minute.
I hear all of the
sweet chimes
Pen to paper or
fingers to keys,
Whatever it takes
to appease.
I have a growing
audience
That gives me a
place of ambience.
I didn't ask for this
gift
But with that.....I
don't regret having
it!

Barbie Koerth Poem
What I would give to have you in my arms
To shelter you from all of the harm
Not the harm of others but of that from yourself
I would give the world to you
If only you knew
If only you knew what you were doing
How can I make you see
Why is it so hard to comprehend they ask
They don't understand like we do
They can't see like we see
I want to shelter you from your own storms
I want you to feel
I want you to taste and to smell
I want life for you but not the life you want
I want more for you
Just walk through that open door
Its not locked, it's open
Come in, breathe, inhale
Breathe the life I have given you
Reap the words I say to you
Take all of my life and breathe me in
Trust me when you fall I will catch you
I will never let you fall
I will always be here
Waiting...
Waiting...
Come...live...for I will shelter you
I give to you life the life you so deserve
My dying life is yours to breathe in
To carry on, to live strong...
You my love; you are strong...
