The Flight of the Butterfly For John

Floating in the air
Wavering in the breeze
Butterflies,
land with ease
(in my stomach as I read)....

Such passion,
such beauty
In the summer air
It's all around me
(when you are near ~so on I read)....

distinguishing you
and oh, my heart skips
to the tune
so much different
(with admiration I find
the butterflies.... the beauty) deep inside.....

Velvet, satin,
plain or platinum
Touching the degree
in which you speak to me
(where once upon I time,.... were butterflies).....

Yet I am still a worm,
trying so hard to be
beautiful in your sight
I crawl so willingly
(Yet beauty in distinction)

Free and falling

from the midnight air

into the great unknown

of the atmosphere ~
the flight (metamorphosis) of the butterfly ~

Note: Thanks John, :) March 29th 2011

Life Is Like Baseball Final Post

Focus means everything!!!....

                              Effort. Courage.

In times of our lives we strike out but it is a team sport.

Think about when you hit that home run!!!!!!!

It really doesn`t matter at that MOMENT who was there and who wasn`t.

Who applauded and who didn`t.

Moments are all we have, when "time" itself was calculated by the stars and man;
therefore i fail to believe it truly exists.

Love and The Fight For Survival continues on............

(Let's play ball!!!!!!!!~incidently my all time favorite sport to play, watch, and
burn 'em, every chance I get!)

Spring is here!!! WoooooooHooooo!!!

Life is just that way.

Thanks to all for allowing me to openly express myself here at
this soup, where there is no norm in form, it's just poetryman.
 No right, no wrong...
Let's shake hands because it sure has been an exciting game that at times I didn't
realize I was even playing...!
All in all life is sweet and short.
May you be blessed in your lives and your creatitity.

                                                   *~THE END~*
Sincerely,

Lucinda

One More For the Road 3 the Bad Times

Pardon

From dawn's early light, a gradual state takes flight
Idiosyncrasies dance in my head
Break in prayer, then back again
Could it be the past or is it the present?
It's this part of me I've come to resent
Call the doctor, no call your mother
Call on God there is no other
Do the finest work you've ever achieved
Then admit to the world you have a disease
Take what is prescribed and you will be stable
It's these in between times that destitute my cradle
For a day like today is like the life of a snail
A woodpecker in a steel mill, a beach, a shore and a whale
To spade the ground and go deep would be trouble
With images so vivid, yet the present they muffle
To give light to all that I have seen
To dare to reach an infamous, perfect dream
Is the life that I would choose
Where in it no one would lose

Prayer Even Starlight Lasts Not Forever Beseeched

For Paula Swanson's "Beseech" contest:
Prose Poetry Verse:

God has given the moon the stars.
He remains a God beyond the stars!!!
A year or two ago, "Ort" was discovered in space and is where stars are formed -
yes, new stars born upon the darkest of skies ever...?

This scientific world; fascinations with what is beyond, as if "Jacobs ladder" did not
teach us all something.
Objects accidently left in space, just nuts or bolts, yet with the velocity upon
crashing upon the earth surface....?

The lovers and the lonely gaze upon these small bits of light in wonder, in comfort
It has been that way;
ponderings of the heart, the soul, and the mind~
There are as many stars in the sky as grains of sands upon the earth.
This is fact?

It is infact how the Hopi, many old scholars and cultures too, made our time, our
calendar... it is within our own peception of how we could at times perceive the
stars, and yes, "time", time, time, "I am afraid I don't have enough....!" (murmurs)
When in fact, we as humans made that!!!?

Our time, I believe is His Glorious, Lord God that provides all things to both the good
and evil, His love, we only know so little. Like a drop of water in a bucket of ALL His
Love, so, if you ponder to the stars tonight, shed a tear, for some will fall instantly,
many a day; Our Lords magnificence.....goes on and on, and His wrath will come.
Blessed starlight... these bits of light, how I do admire your gestures to the
illuminations of the moon so high, and we awake; another breath~ a Sun!!!!
Echoing in my sanity that is on solid rock~?

~
God bless everyone in the world, please keep our families, our loves safe, within
these times, it is difficult. amen
God, thank you for your Son! Praise to you, Oh Father, Most High
Praises!!!

Rest Well

Rest Well, Rest Well, thy poor tired body
Long did you labor your faith and face
toward the kindness, conmpassion and forgivness,
That is the face of God.

One More For the Road 2 For Mothers Day

June 28, 2007

Something wonderful;
Something I just can't measure
or even measure up to
a mother like you
There have been times unpleasant;
I know there is a lesson
in the end of the day
So I patiently wait
and ask God to please give you a long life
Maybe some day you will see me achieve;
do something right
Of all the mistakes
the one I regret the most
Is not telling you how very much I appreciate
WHO YOU ARE
and who you are to me
Without you
it would be the greatest, most disheartening loss
I could experience;
as mother to mother
I know this
So I say this all now to you
because I don't know what else I could do
to tell you how very special you are;
deep you have impacted this heart;
at this moment,
from the very start

Another For the Road 8

The Massey Harrison

She was a big red beauty
Setting way up high
Childhood memories
Spring days turned into nights
Plowing the garden
In Fall, the harvest
In days of Winter
She pulled the teens from the ditch
Dad always said if he died
To dig a hole and bury
Him and the Massey inside
Years and a decade went by
My father passed away
In sickness one night
The family in shambles, my mother scared
Put my oldest brother in charge of the affairs
One day after school, I came home and noticed "Old Red" was gone
It was the first time I rebelled against my family for what they had done
Possessions are surely not where the heart is
But the memory of a man and his tractor today still lives
