Father Daughter Dance

Dad: Ever since I held you when you
were first born,
I knew that my princess would grow
to be strong.
Dad: At first I was scared. I know
how the world works,
I don't wanna see that my little girl
hurts.
Daughter: But daddy your here and
you have my back.
Dad: But if some body hurts you
daddy will snap.
Daughter: Relax dad I'm smart and
you taught me well.
To respect my body and at school to
excel.
Daughter: I know what you do is so
we can live safe.
Dad: When I get locked up out isn't
okay.
Dad: There's two side to this and jail
is one side
Daughter: I love you more daddy for
doing your time
Dad: I love you to baby that's not
gonna change.
Daughter: You'll be home soon dad
I'm counting the days.
Dad: Please be good for mom she all
by herself
Do the right thing and give her some
help.
Daughter: Ok I promise I'll behave
best I can
If mommy needs help I'll give her a
hand.
Daughter: Your the best dad in the
whole wide world
Dad: I love you my princess my
sweet babygirl.

A Penny For My Thoughts

A penny for my thoughts
I'd be a millionaire
Constantly my thoughts are racing
My mind is everywhere
Should I stay or should i go
Will I win or lose
Can I have my time to shine
Since I have paid my dues
A penny for my thoughts
I wish it were a buck
If I could just collect these thoughts
Then it might change my luck
My thoughts are so abundant
To count them is to many
My mind is worth a whole lot more
Then just one simple penny

The Hardest Thing I Will Ever Say

The Hardest Thing I Will Ever Say

by Willie J. Rathbone

I haven't always been there
to teach you to do good
or given you my wisdom
the way a father should
so before this escalates
to where you're feeling hate
please listen for a moment
to what I have to say
in the past I've made mistakes
I'm in jail for what I've done
so when your mother says, I went away
you'll know the truth my son
I've spent my whole life lying
and hustlin' was my work
right now there's no denying
all the people that I've hurt
to save you from the same
you really must believe
the hardest thing I will ever say
is don't ever be like me

Tell Me the Truth

I said i didn't trust no one
You said to trust in you
Now i'm facing time my love
I don't know what to do
Do I believe you'll have my back
Do I say goodbye right now?
Please let me know if **** is real
And if you'll hold me down
Sex is only physical
Its the mental that i need
If you don't believe we got this
Then please just let me be.
We're to old to play these games
You love me, love me not
Im looking for my other half
Don't leave me in the dark
I won't be mad i'll understand
This life ain't made for all
Don't say that you can do this
Then ignore me when i call
Don't let me write a letter
And wait for no reply
If that's the case lets end it now
I love you and goodbye

Please Do Not Laugh

Please do not laugh.
I do not have the answer.
But the questions i have?
There as deadly as cancer.
No matter how hard i try.
Or how far i go.
More disappointment
Is all that i know!
Please do not laugh
I don't know my roots.
I know years of drug dealing
And plenty abuse.
Please do not laugh.
I'm scared on the inside.
Is it kill or be killed?
Or run first, then hide?
I lost my guidance
So its hard for me to trust.
Sometimes the pressures to much.
And the pipes in me will bust.
There are way to many questions.
Not enough around to ask?
I'm a child in my mind....
So please do not laugh...

Grow Old With Me

I've done a lot of things in life
And conquered many goals.
I never found that special one
To be with till i'm old.
I may have had some chances
Though the feelings never right.
Someone who makes you rethink life,
A shining star at night.
When we kiss i'll skip a breath
I'll know that shes the one.
A princess for this night to save
And live with till i'm done.
And then we'll meet again in heaven
When God opens the gates.
I'm there for her eternally
Until death is what it takes.
We build together, grow together,
Eventually we'll mold together.
I'm looking for that special one to ask,
Can we grow old together?

Lord Can You Hear Me

Lord, life's been crazy lately
Long and bumpy roads
And I been on this path so long
I don't know where it goes
I know I promise very often
If you help me I'll be good
But the devils lives here deeply,Lord
He's strong in every Hood
I'm on my knees and praying
Cause I can't go on like this
I've escaped death so many times
I'm scared the next won't miss
See I really didn't care before
And now I'm not alone
I wanna know my kids are safe
Before you call me home
You took away my sins one time
Help me Lord again
I'll be your servant right now Lord
In your name I pray AMEN

The Conversation

Man: Do you love me enough to be part of my world?
Woman: I love you much more and i'm glad im your girl
Man: Will you be there for me if i dont have a dime?
Woman: I'll split my dime in to and give you half of mine
Man: If i get locked and i catch some time
Man: Will you still hold me down or tell me some lies?
Woman: I'll hold you down the best i can
Woman: And hope you'll come home and still be my man
Woman: My only concern is that your safe in the streets
Man: I take all these risks so both of us eat
Woman: I'd rather starve so i know you'll be safe
Man: I have to make dough so that we have a place
Man: I'm not out here cheating or acting a fool
Man: I'm just selling work and holding the tool
Man: I gotta stay safe and make sure i'm protected
Woman: But don't take all night you'll leave me neglected
Man: I love you so much your all that i need
Man: You make me stand tall and be all that I can be
Woman: I love you too but promise me this
Woman: Each time you leave you'll give me a kiss
Woman: I found my true love i hope i'm enough
Man: Girl you were sent down from Heaven with love
Woman: Were soulmates babyboy from now till the end
Man: I'm thankful everyday i have my best friend

Thank You Babymomma's

You told me you were pregnant
My words were at a loss
I had to grow up really fast
No matter what it cost
I felt I had a purpose
Responsibility
I made a choice to be a dad
And did so willingly
I just wanna thank you all
For bringing in this world
Each little blessing I've received
My babyboy's and girls
So when this life gets difficult
And burdens start to show
Let me help you carry on
Together we can grow
I thank my Babymomma's
Without them theres no kids
Grateful i will always be
As long as i shall live

In the Club

I remember i was in the club
You were across the room
I couldn't keep my eyes off you
A flower in full bloom
I hesitate to talk to you
Don't wanna be rejected
Plus i had a drink or two
That had my mind affected
Our eye contact was crazy
So i finally took the chance
I left the bar and made my way
To ask you for a dance
My heart was beating faster
When i saw you smile
I told myself this feeling
Hasn't been here in a while
I asked you for your name
In turn i told you mine
I take your hand, we start to dance
And danced throughout the night
I thanked God for my confidence
For sending me this gift
Cause i was down before you came
Your presence was my lift
