Blood Moon

Blood moon embraces the night
Flaming sky crimson glow
Words spoken end in sight

Darkness taking over a dying light
Dreams rest on a cloud of doubt
Blood moon embraces the night

Searching for souls wrong or right
As the silent night surrounds
Words spoken end in sight

Blessed words reviled so bright
That sat souls afire
Blood moon embraces the night

Holding tight souls take to flight
Filling hearts and minds
Words reviled end in sight

Somewhere a peaceful height
Crimson sky did shine
Blood moon embraces the night
Words reviled end in sight

I Want To See Jesus

I want to see Jesus
By Karen Fitzpatrick

I want to see Jesus
The man who died for me
Walked this earth a sinless man
Who conquered Calvary

I want to talk to Jesus
To see Him face to face
Talk to the man who gave Himself
Who saved me by His grace

I want to see the city
So bright and so fair
Enter Heavens gates
And have Jesus meet me there

I want to bow down before Him
And cry Holy is the Lord
Clap my hands and sing
Glory to the son of God
My master and my King

Most of all
I want to see Jesus
The man who was God
Maker of Heaven and earth
Savior of us all

I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine as I look towards the heavens the
beauty your eyes must have beheld as you entered
heavens gates.
What a magnificent paradise God has created for your
home coming, a sight only believers will ever behold.
I can only imagine you running, dancing and praising
God for the new body he has given you, no more sickness,
no more pain.
Finally, Brandi, you are a whole and beautiful young lady filled
with all the goodness God has to offer.
I can only imagine what our reunion will be like, when
one day we will all be together singing with the angels and
lifting our hands worshipping the lord.
At night when I lay my head on my pillow, and dream of you,
my beautiful daughter, I can only imagine.

Who Am I

Who am I
By Karen Fitzpatrick

Who am I?
I’m a cloud floating freely in the sky
A flower dancing in the wind
A stream flowing gently in the valley below

Who am I?
I’m a candle that lights your way
A path that never ends
A tree that gives you shelter from the rain

Who am I?
I’m a nightingale singing a song
A star that shines from Heaven above
An eagle soaring over the mountain tops

Who am I?
I’m the snow that covers the ground in winter
A cool breeze on a spring day
The bright sunlight in the summer sky

Who am I?
I’m everything good in the world
I’m all creation
An angel watching over you

Who am I?
I’m the creator of Heaven and earth
I’m the beginning and the end
I’m God your Father

In the Mood For Love Again

, italics
In The Mood for Love Again
By Karen Fitzpatrick

I’ll never forget the love we shared
Not knowing how deep I would grow to care

Time was precious
Hours were few
Each night seemed bran new

Making love was so complete
Oh how complex
Oh how passionate
Dreams of a love no other will defeat

For ours was a love that had no beginning
Or no ending
Resting only in hearts spinning

Love unfading
Overwhelming
Vast in our universe
Endlessly rearranging

Ageless like the heavens
Grateful for every moment
Allowed to share
In the mood for love again
Never will my heart cease to care

Affairs of the Heart

Darkness falls, my heart is over flowing.
Encounters kept secret.
Our love blossoms and grows.
Lost in an endless yearning.
Drifting on a sea of hopelessness.
Two hearts search for a new beginning.
Fearful with thoughts of expectation,
Living on the edge with delight.
Day takes over releasing the night.
Feelings only of celebration,
Far-away apprehension awaiting your return,
Not knowing when the desires of our hearts will flow again.
Feeling ever motionless.
Forever-suspended in time.
Lost in a world of tradition,
Yet our love will not fade.

Make Me Into Something Better

Make Me into Something Better
By Karen Fitzpatrick

Lord you’re so understanding, faithful and sure
Make me into something better
You know my thoughts
You hear my cries
My heart desirers to know you
To be more like you

Lord help me to trust you
To hold on to your strength
Lord see me through the bad times
And whatever suffering may come my way
To know that your strength is enough
To see me through wholeheartedly

Lord guide me and give me wisdom
As I walk this earth
Lord help me to become a reflection of you
And your kindness
Help me to know I’m not alone
Your presence is always with me

Lord my God
Lead me on the path to you
Merciful God
Show me a love much deeper
Than I thought I could ever know
Make me into something better

An image of you

Whispers of Love

Whispers of love that use to be
Hush-hush so others will not see.

Our love was a secret we grew to care.
With family and friends we could not share.

Warm spring night love was in bloom
We talked we laughed day came to soon.

We lived for the night when our hearts would meet
Such a powerful love one single heart beats.

In each other’s arms not wanting to let go
The passion we share deep within our souls.

We knew this love it could not last
We belonged to others this time would pass.

If only we could embrace the love we had
Our Memories wouldn’t be so sad.

So now I must leave my heart filled with sorrow
Remember the past, miss me tomorrow.

I close my eyes can’t help but see
Whispers of love that use to be.

Hold On To Yesterday

Hold on to yesterday, if only in our dreams
Remember the love once shared
Darling return to me
Leave not the love
The passion once entwined
The breath of your kisses
Your body touching mine
Broken hearts cry out
Turn back the hands of time
True love never dies, only loses its way
Embrace the love we had, if only for the day
Nevertheless remember, Hold on to yesterday

I Had a Dream

Last night I had a dream Lord help me understand,
An angel stood at the foot of my bed with compassion in her hands. She said that the Lord had sent her, because he heard me cry, and wanted to assure me he was always by my side.
I reached out my hand to touch her, but then she disappeared,
But left my BIBLE opened to a verse that I hold dear.
I picked my BIBLE up and began to read out loud,
Such joy filled my heart, the words made me proud.

Isaiah 53:5
“But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

I keep the words the angel gave me deep within my heart,
And in the morning when I awaken with this verse I start.
God made a promise through his son now it’s up to me,
to trust in the Lord, stand on his words, and completely believe.
