Brenda Biever Poem
I found a new friend today,
A friend to take my fears away.
It is a friend that you must buy,
It has a name , its called a high.
It seems to be the latest style ,
Your welcome here. .. "lets smoke
awhile. "
It turns me loose, it sets me free
From the dullness of reality.
But sometimes though I start to
wonder,
Does it lift me up or drag me under?
The fears it took were only hidden,
And feelings seem to be forbidden.
Now my friend has turned on me,
And thus become my enemy.
I try to stop but it doesnt last,
I give in as I have in the past.
I think about the price I pay,
And go get high anyway.
Inside it seems Im always crying,
Why do I feel as if Im dying?

Brenda Biever Poem
I can admit things about myself that I couldn't own up to before.
Like the fact that I'm a little weird,
And sometimes hard to please.
I get bored easily and addicted quickly.
I'm a bit dark and my mind can play tricks on me,
and YES, I like finding the easy way to do things.
I can get mad as hell, and when I do,
My temper is impossible to control.
But I'm worth loving.
I'm passionate and I'm fun.
I live life to the fullest
And everyday I try to be a better person
Than I was the last.

Brenda Biever Poem
I'm looking bad these days...
I put on make-up, wash my hair
but something strange shows through.
Like the women on the street,
wearing purple lipstick,
With a scarred look around their eyes.
Some carry little dogs,
others talk to themselves.
Something's wearing off that kept me safe,
and one doesn't want to look too close.
Is this what meth does?
I didn't know, or I would not have done it again.

Brenda Biever Poem
Mama, why am I so alone,
I cant go outside,
Im scared I might not make it home.
Im alive,
But Im sinking.
Ive been here before and I deserve
a little more .
Why are they lying?
When I think of heaven ,
I think of dying.
Please help me ...
Help me believe in me,
I want to be someone who believes.
Mama , cant you see?

Brenda Biever Poem
Kill the pain
Stimulate the brain
Watch as I go completely insane
Can I hide my shame?
Am I the one to blame?
Maybe yes
Maybe no
I chose to play with this game
But I did it to kill the pain.

Brenda Biever Poem
You brought me to my knees,
Im not as strong as I used to be.
Where once there was confidence,
Now there's only defense.
Im the enemy in your eyes,
And Im captured in this web of lies.
I sit alone without a prayer,
My body shakes with despair.
Youve taken from me all you could
take,
And made sure I paid for each
mistake.
You watch me sit in total fear,
And laugh at each and every tear.
I lean against this great big wall,
And pray that God will take my call.
You tell the world of all my faults,
And now you win by default.
I look around and its plain to see,
You're wish came true ..
Just look at me.

Brenda Biever Poem
Let me tell you about a game I play,
where I close my eyes and fade away.
I float away to a special place,
beyond the stars, the moon and space.
In this place you will see,
there are only two people, just you and me.
In this place is a beautiful sight,
nothing but love, never a fight.
In this place, there is no sadness,
no cells, no courts, none of the madness.
No rules to follow, no laws to break,
no bars to hold us, or separate.
Where we look into each other eyes,
there is only love , we have nothing to hide.
But all too soon the game must end,
I open my eyes, and reality sets in.
I keep the faith that maybe someday,
you will miss your mama and come home to stay…. I pray.

Brenda Biever Poem
I'm in over my head,
I wish I were dead.
You say I'm pathetic,
A pathetic excuse for a mom.
You continue to push me away,
Farther everyday.
I'm sorry for the way I lied,
And for all the times I made you cry.
Beat me with a metal chain,
Let me take away a your pain.
I read what you say about me,
The names you call me.
The way you hate and despise me.
How you refer to me as your birth giver.
Not mom, not Brenda ....
Birth giver.
I am nothing to you,
But you are my everything.
I wish I could just disappear,
Far into the atmosphere.

Brenda Biever Poem
My sleep used to be peaceful
I slept without dreams
And without bone chilling memories
I wake up in tears
From the sound of my screams.
My nights are tainted
My world is being opened
My inner peace destroyed
I'm afraid to sleep
These nightmares are killing me
I don't know what to do
I'm stuck in the dark
Afraid of the truths revealed
The night terrors - constant
Sleep - a dIstant memory
BUT
Id rather not sleep
Then see the horrors
Of a time once forgotten

Brenda Biever Poem
I'm not ready for your
good bye
Nor so long or see you
later.
I'm not ready for the end
Not ready for this reality.
I'm not ready for this life
One without you in it.
I'm not ready for your
good bye
Maybe someone else's
Anyone else.
Just not yours
Never yours.
Death doesn't become you
It isn't your best color.
Please remind me how
your indestructible
Just like we always
believed .
Please tell me daddy
You will always be my
best friend.
Tell me you will never
leave me
And you'll be here till the
end.
Tell me you will will
always love me
And that you will stay with
me.
Knowing that you will be
gone
Doesn't make it any easier.
I love you this much daddy
Infinity and beyond.
