You Are the Man I Love

Yes you are the man I love
Were you sent from God above?
You're my strength,my joy,my heart
I pray that we will never part.

You make me angry
You make me smile
But,all the struggles are so worthwhile.

I love your strength, your jokes and smile
Even when you drive me wild
I learn from you more each day
to look at things "not always my way"
Your never unfair with your beliefs
Even when,I just can''t see.

I love you.....
More each day
for just being you in that special way...

My lighthouse in darkness
My anchor in a storm
I bless the day that you were born.
I thank you, for loving me
A part of my life you will always be.
I'll carry you with me wherever I go
Spring,Autumn,Summer and the deep,deep snow......

The Painted Sky

The litttle girl said with a tear in her eye
Where is the sunshine that was up in the sky?
Mommy said with a beautiful smile
Only God knows my beautiful child.
God has a plan.
I know for sure...
Please don't feel sad he'll send the right cure.
Oh my God, the little girl giggled out loud
As a cooling breeze blew away the clouds.
There in its place a rainbow so bright
A truly beautiful heart warming sight.....

A promise God made a long time ago
Decorated the sky with an awesome glow..

Mommy she said,God is painting the sky
The little girl pointed to the rainbow so high....
The rainbow just tells us 'We know whose in charge"
She takes mommies hand and looks up at the sky
A rainbow she said
God painted the sky...........

I'M Not Here

I'm not here for Superman
I'm just here because I can
Say the thoughts that enter my mind
No man can give me,what I seek to find.

A dating site,I guess thats true
OMG, isn't that where I first met you?
But time to move on
And just forget.

We read the blogs here most everyday
If it doesn't work just walk away.
No reason for slander
Or call out their name
Just move along and let them do the same.....

Cabin In the Woods

Your flannel shirt hung on the back of the chair
Your boots sit on the floor
I walk to the window, breathe in the air
How could I ask for more?
The sun is rising on the mountains below
The whipper wills they sing
The little cabin was built with love among the pines and streams.
I feel your arms around me
my robe falls to the floor.
This little cabin in the woods...
Awwww who could ask for more ??
Fifty years together, our love has never changed.
Our little cabin in the woods
where we heard our children sing.
They're all grown up and moved away,
to their places right down the road.
Their own little cabin in the woods
Where they'll watch their children grown.

The Captain and the Sea

The waves come in
The waves roll out
Not a piece of land in sight.

As I sit here on the bow
It's such a beautiful sight
I strum my guitar,a string at a time
The most peaceful place to be
No stress of the world, with daily tasks or arguements with you and me.
Just the Sea,
My vessel and crew, much easier than life on land.

So I stay out here on the Sea
And dream of future plans.
My feet touch land, and I'm so confused
How do I deal with life on land?
"Just give me the Sea,my vessel and crew
   And I'm a "Happy Man"

...............Dedicated to Captain Mike..............

Little Boy Blue

Little Boy Blue, please cover your nose
You sneezed on Miss Muffit and ruined her clothes
You sprayed Mother Hubbard and now she is sick.
You put out the fire on Jack's candlestick.
Your sneeze is the reason why Humpty Dumpty fell
You drenched Yankee Doodle when he came to town.
The Blind Mice are "angry"
The sheep are upset
From now on use tissue so no one gets wet.......

Chicken Suit

He stands on the curb
in a chicken suit.
Jumping,dancing and waving at you.

Yep, it's a job
Money to make
Is it demeaning?
You may laugh and say-

I would never do that
But do what you must
Just to live life
It is a must!
Wave as you drive by
It could be you-
dancing and waving
In that "Chicken Suit"

Walk of Thoughts

A walk through the cemetary
Brings perspective to life
The dreams and goals
Washed away with they're plight.

Did they reach their goals?
Were their dreams fulfilled?
Did they pass from age
Or the danger they lived.

Are they up above,
Or down below?
A question we ask
Only one way to know.

When we go....
No matter the cause
Will our dreams go with us
Will our goals be fulfilled?
Life after death.
"Cemetary on the Hill"

Love as many things as you can
Enjoy your life
Give a helping hand-
Fulfill your dreams
Work toward your goals
for life is short.....

The memories we make
Will be passed on in life
Undo your mistakes.
Ask for forgiveness
Forgive as you must
for one day for sure,
"it will be us".

In this place
Just empty and cold
An empty shell without a soul
Up above or down below.
The life we've lived, stories passed on
A legacy we leave to be foretold
For we all have a heart and we all have a soul.

But,in the end
A soul no more
Just the life we shared
And our stories foretold......

Lifes Enchanted Garden

In lifes enchanted garden
Many blossoms there to see
In the center of them all,is lifes enchanted tree.
The blossums are the friendships
We've encounted through the years
Helped us through our trials, had us triumph through our fears.
The wonders of the center tree with roots stretched deep within.
Is the source that gives us life
And cleanses us from sin.
With branches wide and outstretched, reach out wide to you and me
To comfort our weary souls, from bondage that set us free.
So go to your enchanted garden
there you are sure to find,a breathe of lifes purest air which will calm your weary mind.....

Country Love

Come and sit on the porch with me
We'll just sit here silently
The smell of the country, fireflys at night
Thank you God for this beautiful site.

Country music on the radio
Sitting here silently, just watching grass grow
Hold my hand and sit awhile
It makes me blush when I see you smile.

You know my thoughts before I speak
Lifes so perfect when your here with me
You grab your guitar, sing a country song
Of birds and bees and loves gone wrong.

A car drives down this country road
They wave at us, just saying hello.

The moon comes out with a million stars
I turn around and there you are.
You give me your hand, and pull me close
As we dance in this country road.
Its silent here, only you and I.
Dancing under this beautiful sky.
I'll never forget the day we met
Please don't ever let me forget..
