Humpback Whales

A breath I have ached to suck in.
Happens only when I am able to
stare out across the endless ocean
at my special spot waiting for their arrival.

The Humongous Beasts of the blue water.

Performing with entertainment
of splashes and spout-blowing
for all who come and watch.

What they cannot see,
is the sadness that is taking place
way down in the heart of
this hugest animal of the world.

Their souls crying out to anyone who hears-
our loved ones are continuing to die.
There are not many of us left.
The same animals that
are robbing them of life,
anxiously await
to enjoy their presence.

They do not understand, they do not understand.

Emotional Weather

Raindrops dropping everywhere
letting all the world know,
if she gets any sadder today,
hail will follow snow!

Winds blowing restlessly.
Leaves all over the yard.
Anger is on her face today.
Make sure you put up your guard!

Light has turned off suddenly
across the earth today.
Maybe a death in her family?
Darkness is on a rampage,
get the heck out of her way!

Tidal Wave wiped two states out.
Small token of her dismay.
She'll take out all fifty states
if she doesn't have her way!

She'll ask Tornado and Earthquake to assist her.
They'll be sure to get the job done.
If they try to hit us all at once,
our chances are just about none.

Sheba, the Family Dog

Her brown hair shiny in the sun
Her black hair makes her
invisible at night.
Her pitbull face makes you step back
Her piercing red eyes could hypnotize,
Telling you not to screw with her.

Her mission is to protect her master
and his children
All who live in this house-
Do not even think of entering
when the Master is asleep.
You will not make it three steps to the door.
She will chew you up and spit you out
like a hairball.
With no regrets, just satisfaction.
That another day has gone by
and she has accomplished
what she was put here for-
The family of this house
Has not been harmed at all!

The best bodyguard ever.

House of Loneliness

Misery and jealousy
lurk in the bedrooms here.
Black and eerie,covered with drapes.
No light allowed in here.

The parlor is a wonderful sight,
Pretty pictures on the wall.
Flowers everywhere.
It is just a sabotage
to get you to the bedroom there

They suck you in and tell you lies
to make you feel sorry for them.
They drown you in booze
and teach you to hate
so you can be one of them.

Beat up a wife, envy your friends.
Hate your siblings for having
something.
You want to be hateful
when others have what you don't.
Pick on people for nothing!

All these things that I have listed
will get you in this abode here.
Sadness and misery and loneliness
lurking in the bedrooms here.

No Ice Allowed In My Family

What’s the awful noise I hear?
Worse than a mosquito by my ear.
Like nails screeching across a board.
Want to pull my ears off, help me Lord.
What’s got me so upset you say?
My sister chewing ice, crunching away.
Any ice I see around
Dump it out, on the ground.
Sigh of relief, assuming all is well.
THEN, that sound is heard again.
Now, her granddaughter’s crunching ice
Someone, someone please make it end.
