Susmita Das Poem
Lifeless, I lie here
On the bed of lust
Under the beefy quilt
of mounting shame
With oozing hurt
And fading flame
To feed your lechery
with drops of salaciousness
Behind the closed doors
of raging prurience
As the rays of sun melt
In the heart of burning sky
I lay self down in gloom
And crouch down at your sight
As I bow, you drag me down
To feed your hungry soul
With the tender flesh
Of my puerile charm
And strangled glow
when the moon shines
Over the dying remains
Of my ebbing mind

Susmita Das Poem
On a day so dry, a maiden so forlorn
Silently whispered in the ears of dunes
That flew a million miles with breeze
Erasing the tiny footsteps unseen
.......

Susmita Das Poem
O' the angel of dawn! Hold my hand
And as you rise, embrace my ailing heart
To shield it from the grave sight
of the well-lit moon melting into drops
Of dew when the burning sun is born
In the heart of the diseased sky
That loses the beads of twinkling stars
And adornment on the forehead of night's bride
O' the angel of dawn! Embrace my eyes
And as you rise, usher me to the world of trance
Where there lies a million such beads
On the forehead of the blooming sky
Born out of the ashes of the gleaming sun
When the twilight breaks the era of blinding morn
Erase the dreams to awaken my soul
When the angel of sundown is born

Susmita Das Poem
Bright moonlight from heaven above
And flickering rays from tiny stars
Unveils the stealth of a soul so bare
Lying beneath a colossal, blue mass
An impoverished, naked soul
Exposed to myriad prying eyes
Of the glaring radiance of sun
And of darkness of an eclipsed night
Dearth of persistent humility
Affluence of disparaging humiliation
Zillion catastrophic wounds
And a few blessed fortunes
Mask the bareness of this being
Yet, it stands naked amidst souls so mean

Susmita Das Poem
As the twilight bid farewell
to the sky of dazzling morn
A desire crawled into the cells
Of my heart,craving since long
For the serene touch of the lilt
that blows remains of stale air away
And that resurrects the dead leaves
As they move in sync with dancing breeze
When moonlight gives birth to the dark shadows
Of swaying leaves and my figure petite
I walk hand in hand with shadow of my own
On the lifeless streets of the town of Chiles
I lift my nimble feet to tap them
Against the flat shady ground
My shadow mimics my moves
And we dance together merrily
To the music of serene breeze
With the sound of the wavering leaves

Susmita Das Poem
Shadows in the dark are now what I see
Murky pictures of the loved ones no more with me
I stare at them with a trembling heavy heart
For we are now millions of light years apart
Shadows line up as an army of ghosts at my door
Asking me to exit the door without the hurt which I once bore
Grappling with the painful thoughts, I take a step forward
Towards my loved ones, and never look backward
Ah! The reflections disappeared with the break of the dawn
I Ran around to find them with a mind so bogged down
Alas! I fell off from my bed, it was a dream insane
I shouted,'Hold on! I am feeling no more inane'
For they showed me glowing light even in the dark
Now I can find a way no matter how loud is the life's bark
Shadows in the Dark will always show me the light
To fulfill zillion dreams and win life's every fight

Susmita Das Poem
On a lonely night, ages ago
A timid soul let her worries flow
Into an abyss of filth and scars
At the sight of a colossal yellow mass
Million miles the mass traversed in vacuum
To let its rays rekindle the flame of dying love with hue
And to chase the ghosts of sorrows away
To a land so barren and not so gay
She shed the layers of gloom
To let her naked soul eternally bloom
Embrace did she every hued ray
Which made love to her in a surreal way
Every touch defined an era of mesmerizing warmth
Of the twinkling stars and moon so calm
The lonely nights,ever since,
bestowed endless love on a soul with no kins

Susmita Das Poem
Pattering drops of rain on the shattered remains
Of my ebbing heart murmur as the twilight fades
In the ears of the dark blooming
Under the sheath of the eclipsed sky
‘Let me flow over the fire that burns
in the harrowing silence of a grave
That dwells in the dingy corners of filth
Where festers the flesh of memories riddled with guilt
The leaden clatter of my broken pieces
Shall stitch the wound left open in the cold
Ages ago by the warriors of morn
And those of the smiling dawn
A drop, though cold, shall light a hued flame
To melt the ice that hides the moon behind life’s maze’
