Nader Vs. Darwin

We greedily devour other people to satisfy our own desires
Once the hunger takes over it is insatiable
The ultimate addiction becomes too powerful a force
The truth is we are all cannibals
We are all consumers of our fellow man
Always consuming each other for survival
There are no victimless crimes
No winners without losers
The weak receive the cruelest of consumptions
The kindest of heart are the easiest prey
They are eaten alive by family and friends and lovers
There is a certain hardness needed for rigors of everyday life
A food chain exists for human animals the same as any other
We are all starving
Only the consumer will survive

The Big Move

My master is struggling his end is near
I'm ripped from his body pulled free and clear
My taxi is freezing and dark without life
My new master is preparing to go under the knife
What he will be like I need to know
For through my flesh his blood will flow
We both are dependent on each other to be
I can't live without him nor he without me
My new home is strange and I have a new face
I don't recognize anyone and I feel out of place
He floods me with poisons knowing I'm his screener
I should have known the grass wouldn't be greener
All change is not good but for me this too shall pass
As a liver that lives in a house made of glass

Girl Next Door

They're right across the street I can see them playing
I can't escape this place it is here I am staying
My executioner sat me next to the window you see
So I could watch my children but they can't see me
The tears are done I'm accepting my fate
There will be no more goodbyes for that it is too late
I've been here so long it's hard to remember
The love I received from my family so tender
But time has passed and they have moved on
They have no idea I'm not really gone
I watch them come and go every day
At least I'm still alive to see them that way
Only a few days 'til the deed will be done
The lie becomes truth and my captor has won
Why he has done this I haven't a clue
Trapped in his attic for a year maybe two
Time has no meaning when you're going to die
I have only one question and that question is why

Going Home

The screaming voices of the gods fury through reality

Raging and squealing against rebirth

My hopelessness rides the wind like a feather

Everywhere I go I am a dark cliché

I am the lone star in an empty sky

Flesh and bone but no soul

Never voicing what I desire

Continually escaping what will never be

The gods laugh as it ends the same as it began

With a big bang

Caveat

The end is the beginning
The beginning is the end
Time doesn't care and the rules it won't bend
His father is spiteful and rigid at best
A Nazi of progression certainly deaf to protest
Offer him bribes of silver and gold
Ask him for more to seek fortunes untold
The pleas go unnoticed he ignores one and all
Giving beggars no solace as they stumble and fall
We each get our chance with no bargains to be made
When the time comes into darkness we fade
The lesson persists for all it is clear
Live while you can and live without fear
