Caveat

The end is the beginning The beginning is the end Time doesn't care and the rules it won't bend His father is spiteful and rigid at best A Nazi of progression certainly deaf to protest Offer him bribes of silver and gold Ask him for more to seek fortunes untold The pleas go unnoticed he ignores one and all Giving beggars no solace as they stumble and fall We each get our chance with no bargains to be made When the time comes into darkness we fade The lesson persists for all it is clear Live while you can and live without fear
